Pro Design Airfilter with intake flange
Qliphoth replied to Robert80's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
i personally can recommend the Pro Design Foam Filter. the first thing i had to change, only 2 weeks after i got my shee delivered from the Dealer in April 2020, was the OEM Filter, because the Dealer smeared Filter Oil all over the foam O-Ring. probably to make sure it seals well. but when i removed the filter, the O-Ring was sticking to the Air Filter Box then ripped off. i had no other choice to purchase a new one. a OEM Filter was hard to get and i did not wanted it anyway, so i came across the Pro Design, which was in stock at a german online shop, that offers also a lot of other parts for the Banshee (OEM & After Market). i paid 129,00 Euros for it. unfortunately the price went up to 139,00€ currently. since then, the PD is still in good shape still. no rips in the rubber jacket. but after approximately two years, there was a small hole inside the red outer filter hull, directly at a seam, i glued it together with super glue. worked out well. in my opinion, this wasn't a materal fault but those 4 spiky plastic thingies that stick out inside the Air Box and also the Air Box Cover were the actual culprits. they are probably there to fix the OEM Filter and prevent it from rattling. after i realized it, i shortened them with a Dremel and rounded the remaining stumps with a File. i did not cut them off completely, just as far so they don't poke very deep into the Filter anymore. the installation was quite easy. but make sure the holes that you have to drill into the Ait Filter Box are tight and not not bigger than the screws. also add liquid engine seal or silicone tothe srews to prevent air leaks. -
new ones & exact the same 26mm carbs? i dunno sry. in my location, the official Mikuni Branch Office is called "Topham Carburetor Technics" this is their Website: https://www.mikuni-topham.de/ENGLISHSITE/ENGLISH/Frame_English.html i already ordered a few pairs of Jets from them around 2 years ago and browsed through their product line, that's all. maybe they can help you out.

in my opinion, these are china rubbish carbs and way overpriced. i just discovered "banshee" carbs that look very similar, on amazon (with lots of bad reviews) and ebay, for around 50 bucks. the factory Banshee's actually all come with the TORS instead of regular caps, so this cannot be OEM carbs. those tags with part numbers on it, might be genuine, but this doesn't mean anything. @JerzOutlaw350 when you have no clue, you better say nothing 😉

What 2 stroke oil do you all use?

High Temp tubing for exhaust clamp
Qliphoth replied to ClaudeMachining's topic in General Banshee Discussion
where can i get those aluminium tubes? what's the item name? -
that means the engine ran too hot or what? i think i need to ride that thing a little more carefully during the summer period.
-
on the stock pipe at the right side, i noticed some white residues. after i parked the Shee, i heard a hiss and then i saw some fluid dripping out of a hose directly onto the hot pipe. it was a hot day with more than 35° celsius and the engine cooling probably wasn't ideal that day. is this coolant and the hose is part of the reservoir tank? i forgot it. the hose leads under the fuel tank and ends nearby the ignition coil.

does the Raptor 660R axle fits on the Banshee, does somebody know?

do you think the 26mm oem carbs are a good idea yes?

damn😮 i inspect the small Roller with bearing further bellow first and order a new one, maybe this is the culprit with a little luck^^
-
hi hello! i need a little assistance. i would like to know, how to change that one big Chain Roller/Guide seen on the picture below. my Shee makes plenty of noise on the move somewhere in the chain area and i suspect this big Roller, because it's quite lose, wiggles and sometimes the roller is not in line with the chain track, resulting in nasty rattle noises when the chain goes over it. there's a bolt that leads through the roller and even directly through the swingarm. is there a way to partly remove that bolt without dismounting the whole swingarm? what is the correct procedure? i'm a little in fear that the Machine collapses like a folding chair when i try to change the roller😆 thanks in advance for help!

a matter of taste😂 and do you like this?

they don't go that far, about the diameter of a dot, in my carbs at least. i pushed the carb-slide that far out just for demonstration. i don't like the quality of the Motion Pro Kit tbh. it's often a little hard to get the caps on the carbs, the idle screws feel a little lose (fixed with loctite). when i wiggle the cable, it's again a little out of sync. i will add a few more zip ties, maybe this helps!
-
yeah that's strange. i have another carb here at home and i just firgured out, it actually shouldn't go higher. the slide should be flush with the hole as seen on the left picture. when the dot goes over the window, it would look like that (right pic). i think it has to be the caps. actually i screwed them fairly tight. i need to investigate that again in the next days.

Hello peeps. i just installed a Motion Pro Delete Kit yesterday and i noticed, that both holes on the slides are going way over the windows when throttle is wide open. the adjusting screws are almost all the way in and i have only 3 to 4 mm left, to get the slides further down to the windows. the only way to "fix" this is to turning in the limiting screw nearby the thumb throttle. the slides are synced, but i don't like this at all, when the springs inside the slides are getting squeezed together as much. the cable has been laid accurately as possible nearby the harness below the gas tank up to the thumb trottle. how did you guys managed it and is there any trick to get this corrected? thanks in advance for suggestions.

i'll make pics tomorrow, just cam home, almost 12 clock night time here

i have 4 pairs, two of them i got along with used carbs. i would gift them to you when you pay for the shipping. otherwise i throw them in the garbage^^

Whats the first thing you do when acquiring a banshee..
Qliphoth replied to the94shee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
make sure the useful TORS sits tight on the carbs and the parking brake works properly -
i once also had a problem with petcock. when i pulled it out of the tank, i saw that the brass tubes were totally corroded and looked like a swiss cheese. that pet cock was probably the main culprit, why the pilot jet on the right sided carb always got clogged. replaced it by an brand new after-market one of good OEM quality...no problems since then!
