  1. Maybe it is this frame is a 97 it’s a project bike. Umm is there a specific color wire ik it changed through the years. and were would I unground it from. Sorry don’t know to much I only see a blue wire running from the switch to cdi I’m pretty sure this bike had a parking brake delete
  2. My shee is hitting a rev limiter or somthing it won’t hit the power band Ive tried 350-320 mains nothing really changes I’ve tried two different needles on all clip positions still not really a change so I’m thinking it could be electrical, I have complete tors removal and the box is unplugged. I don’t really know to much about the electrical side of things my stator cover bolts did come loose before and my cover poped off, it got a lil dirt in it. Other then that i don’t know somone help me out Thank u in advance I have a 97 shee. Toomey t5’s uni pod filters No tors and around 300ft
  3. Like will it barely be a noticeable difference or u could diffenatly tell? Also have a pair of vm26-606 there close to oem but not it. The needle jets are different they screw in. Ive tried all the way from 320 to 350 mains didnt really make a diffence the bike wouldnt hit the power band ive tried all needle clip positions (red vitos jet needle) and still only hits powerband in first and very late. almost like a rev limiter hits but i have no parking brake and tors box is unplugged. So i was wondering if those carbs would work thats all i got right now.
  4. Is it even possible to run these huge 34mm flatslide carbs on a almost stock banshee. Or get it to run close to decent. If so what’s jets and needles should I be running at 300ft with Toomey t5’s and uni pods
  5. Been having problems with this 97 banshee I’ve had for a couple months. It had 34mm Mikuni flat slides but no mods the carbs were way to big I couldn’t jet them right. So I ended up getting some vm26-606 there very similar to the vm26ss but aren’t it. I got them so close but not just yet the bottom end power is there but it only seems to hit the power band in first and very late The bike has Toomey t5’s, and complete removal of the air box I’m running uni pods. And I am at 300ft. When the 34 were on there I got it to where it would run good only on the top end but had no bottom end what so ever but one I put those VM26’s the bottom end was all there right now im running 330mains 30 pilots and the needle is the red Vito’s one. But the problem is the power band hits super late in 1st and when I’m in any other gear it feels like it wants to hit the power band but doesn’t kinda like if it was lean but if even went up to 350 mains and it ran the same I got the needle in the middle position and I’ve played with it a lot it didn’t really make a difference what I think it might be is the needle jet in the vm26-606 is different then the one in the vm26ss The one on the 606 is like a screw in one it’s nothing like the one in the ss. So I’m stuck does anyone know what needle jet I could switch to, that would be the same size as the one in the vm26ss but fits in the 606 Or could my problem be somthing with the wiring the tors is unplugged and there is no parking brake but it does kind of feel like a rev limiter sometimes, but it didn’t do that when I had the 34mm on there. Maybe someone could suggest what jets to run in the 34mm flats i have just laying here if it’s even possible to run them on this bike. Sorry I can’t provide what jets are in those right now there in storage but if somone could help I would be able to go get them please any suggestions I’ve had trouble with this bike for a while
  6. Also do u know what that stock needle jet would be. Not the jet needle the needle jet
  7. Well I live in southern Cali so the weather always good around here the winter doesn’t get to much colder. From ur experience what pilot do u think will work better I don’t have the stock 25 I would have to order either or, or both
  8. Thank you I’ll be getting those Toomey needles and 27.5 pilots And yeah I’m a little rich on the main for now just until I get the needle right so I can do a plug chop Again thanks
  9. im new to banshees been working on a piece of shit 97 i got for dirt cheap. the jetting in the carbs was all wrong i switched most of the jets, i cannot get the bike to run perfectly its like theres no low end power untill i hit the powerband then its screaming. My elevation is 300' and the temperature is usually around 75 im running 30 pilots (air screws are 1 turn out from seated) and my mains are 330 have not got to the plug chop yet the mods on the bike are toomey t5's and complete removal of the airbox. im running basic uni filters. this is just incase anyone could suggest some typa solution, my real question is i know that the stock needle jet on the banshee is a 187 series but i cant find exactly what size it is being that theres sizes N-0 to Q-8. i feel like once i get the correct needle jet size then shell run fine i dont have the exact needle jet size thats in the at the moment this is all from memory the bike is in storage, the jet needle is the red one from vitos sorry i could not provide the exact specs for those, this bike is very frustrating sorry this is all over the place i also forgot to mention the top end is kicking out 120 psi so theres no way the loss of power is from that. anything will help thank you
