  1. I poped in the stock needles tried them on middle clip and then 4th clip. Both ran similar, like shit. The vitos felt a bit smoother. I haven’t tried all clip positions yet so since it wasn’t running good rich I’m going to try to go leaner this bike always loves that for some reason. And yeah I’ve been trying to jet this bike for months. I even rebuilt the top end just Incase it was that. I did a leak down just to be sure and still can’t seem to find the sweet spot
  2. Understood boss. I’m just getting impatient and I am wondering could I get the bike jetted right with stock or vitos needles or do I need those Toomey needles which I don’t want to spend the money on. And yeah I got my float set at 21mm with calipers (gasket off).
  3. Ok my 1/4 throttle bog is gone Im at a 27.5 pilot at about 1 and 3/4 turns out But I do have a bog from Why feels like 1/4 throttle and up, pretty much once it hits the needle The needles I have in there are the vitos ones I tried middle clip and then I added fuel by going to the 4th clip from blunt end should I try the stock needles ? If so what clip ?
  4. Yeah I’m prolly just going to order that perfect jet kit. I’ve been wanting to order them I just think why do I have to pay 80 dollars shipped for some needles, but anything to rip it right ? And yeah that’s the sweet spot on the main when I was finding the main, the bike started hitting the band powerfully from 310 and down anything higher then that and it wouldn’t even get into the band. With that being said should I pop on that 310 since it’s one step down from a bog, or is that to close to being to rich. I also think I need to do what ONEBAD said I’m an idiot never researched enough about the pilot and idle. I thought once it idled fine It was good. Thank u for ur time
  5. I porting. Can you further explain how to set the pilot properly I think this has been my problem this whole time. Because my bog is from 0-1/4. But it also takes forever to enter the band. Maybe the Toomey jet kit is also gunna help the midrange the price is just stupid.
  6. 1997 shee Toomey t5’s Pods Stock cages but Boyesen super stock flaps 300 ft above sea level been trying to jet this banshee forever I have 25 pilots 270 main and red vitos needles in the carbs right now. Everyone says go 300 main 27.5 pilot 1 turn out air screw but when I do that I have no power until I hit the band like if I fill throttle of start it Boggs The Jets I have in there right now are the leanest I’ve been but it’s also the best it’s been, still laggs to hit power off start but I’m scared to go leaner since everyone else never goes that lean with my set up, I just did the top end in hopes that maybe that’s where the lack of power came from just worn out or somthing but no, any suggestions ? Should I go leaner ? Plugs are a little wet when I pull them out. And I’d really like to get it pretty close without plug chopping for now thank for the help.
  7. Sorry barely seen this. Is there any disadvantages to running +2 timing on a basically stock shee?
  8. No on the stock carbs there’s a little pin that prevent the slide from rotating/spinning But it just got pushed out I pushed it back in and jb welded it
  9. I got a twist throttle so doing the midrange plug chop is hard to be super accurate
  10. Thanks man and yeah I got those videos memorized basically from how much I watched them just gatta find the space near where I Live without having to drive an hour just to jet it. No pink so can’t risk it out hear in the street. And yeah man I’m young so patients isn’t one of my strong suits. Thanks for the help I’m be messing with it a little later today So I’ll report back
  11. I’m just going to remove them since they could be leaking. I have new gaskets to install And I gatta find a way to get the leak down done thank u
  12. Yeah maybe I’d have to find a shop. Umm I have a couple concerns that might affect it. The case has a spot where it got chain slapped but doesn’t leak oil from anywhere could that be affecting anything , and the previous owner had reed spacers but for some reason they were like siliconed onto the jugg side of the reeds Could those be affecting anything ?
  13. I been wanting to, I just can’t with the space I got Maybe this weekend. Is there anyway to chop it accurately without needing all the space
  14. Maybe my throttle got a little bit crispier, but I did run out of time. I richened the needle down one clip since I added the 280 just to be safe. so now I’m going to lean it out little by little
  15. Are reed spacers good to run on stock carbs and do they go before the reeds or after (stock reeds as well) prolly getting Boyesen reeds soon though. The guy before me was trying to run 34mm flat slides on this stock engine so there was some reed spacers on there and he siliconed them or somthing onto the front end of the reeds (jugs side) I was thinking of just removing them and getting new gaskets Suggestions ?
  16. anyone got an extra carb body laying around that they’d sell me. The little pin on mine poped out and I’m scared to just pop it back in and ride it like that don’t want my engine blowing up. Thanks in advance
  17. I went 280 main on the 27.5 pilot and 4th clip from Blunt end and still feels like there’s no low end and If I’m in a higher gear and try to punch it, it still boys before the band
  18. I started at 330 main and worked down I stopped at 290 I was scared to go lower then that seems that most people run 290 Maybe go down ?
  19. Thanks yeah mine is like right at 3/4 throttle so like where the needle transitions to main it’s been a pain so far. I’m thinking of dropping my pilot down since low end power is not where it should be
  20. Runs pretty much the same maybe a tiny more crisp
  21. Air screw at 1 1/2 from lightly seated sorry I lagged to reply in one of the carbs the hinge that prevents the slide from twisting around wore off or broke off and I had to put on a new set of carbs. I threw in the same Jets and richened the needle the hesitation got worse so I leaned it out. It’s better but it’s not as crisp as I want it for example if i just punch it of the get go there’s a pretty noticable hesitation before the power comes in is there anything I can do ? Maybe go down a main size ?
  22. Yeah I’ve been going down. I started at 330, came all the way down to 290 I even tried 280 for a second but didn’t want to risk it so I just came to ask but I just can’t seem to clean it out the transition to the band It isn’t smooth and I can’t seem to find how to get more low end, maybe it’s something else.
  23. T5’s pods 300 ft 75 degree temps 27.5 pilot, 290 main, vitos needles middle clip my banshee feels week on the low end and hesitates before the power band Help I got all the jets
