  1. After lots of reading and suggestions of members here I have located a new OEM CDI on a local buy/sell. Seller and can't remember what year his bike was [emoji47] but the connectors look the same just want to check to see if any one knows different. The current unknown cdi is working but I'm looking for reliability over advancing time via cdi box. Thanks again. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  2. Lol. Prob worst case would be complete loss of flight controls system and or a wing detachment. Most other hiccups can be dealt with. The other above mention would put a damper in my day.
  3. I've done 4 thus far with no major issues. I have not heard of any failures yet. The amount of ground testing and inspections is very thero. If anything looks funny or does not test correct there is no flight. Sound scary but is quite a lot of fun, once you get used to the stresses on your body and the different sounds as the fuelsolodge shrinks and expands and the negative g's suck.
  4. Lol yes hazard pay while in flight. Basicaly push the engines past their normal limits of angle of attack at full throttle. We flight at steep angle up till the engines flame out which is roughly 66000 feet. Then fall tail first back down to 52000 feet then swing nose around and down and do restart procedures. If all is good jet will go back for inspection then delivered to customer. If this don't go well we have enough time and altitude to glide back then start looking at repairs.
  5. Air pic is of a test flight I was on, I test the safety systems of new model jets that company I work for works on. I don't fly them just have pilots push the limits and make sure all is good. Was beautiful seeing earth's curvature and seeing sun light in true form. Very bright white not the yellow to light orange we see.
  6. Ok will take pictures tomorrow and post. Since I'm building this bike bake up replaceing what ever is needed. Would going back to a stock cdi be the better way to go. In not building a dragster am more concerned about reliability. From reading on here more agree that stock is best for long term. Just not sure if to leave it or not. But will post pics of stator in morning.
  7. Hello all. So far this forum has offered easy to find info and great susgesstion. I'm in process of full tear down and rebuild of a 2007 Banshee. Today electrical system was removed and inspected. Question I have and concerns from reading through post on BHQ. 1. Can someone indentify this CDI box. There is no name on it and only a few numbers and a pot with increament 1 through 9. I assume that these number represent different degree of timing? It has been set at 2 since I purchased the bike in the fall. Rode rest of summer, running great, start first kick and tons of power 1-4 would start to die off in 5 and sound hollow with no power in 6. The bike was not ported and had PCI small bore and was jetted really weird. So pipes and no porting were most likely the no power problem. Back to question. Can some one identify this cdi. From what I've read on BHQ these types of CDI are no good? Bike ran great mind you other then above stated. Would I be wise to purchase a new OEM CDI. I have a billet timing plate still in package. If I should go back to OEM what years will work or are they all the same. Shit I'm sorry for another question how does one tell if the OEM stater is still installed of aftermarket. Thanks again for any and all help Last photo on board global express 6000. Crusing at 978 mph ground speed. Elevation 54755 feet. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  8. Yes I was thinking about that forgot to ask previous if that mod would be an advantage. Pulled clutch cover off tonight its a stock setup. Not sure if I trust a 10 year clutch basket. Is a hard anodized clutch basket other then the crazy expensive one a good option. Thanks again for your advice.
  9. Will do. I don't mind used as most owners of these bike tend to care for them more then most. I have contacted a ATV Galaxy to see if they have dealers up here, waiting to hear back. They offer some great products. Funny that banshee parts are hard to come by here, yet I can get almost any thing for my trx250r's. Thank for the reply, any other things that sound have a closer look at or am I pretty much covered.
  10. Greeting all I have reading post on here for some time to get some ideas for repairs and upgradded on my recent purchase. New owner of a 2007 Banshee with very little mods done other then pipes, which are CPI small bore inframe. This bike works great starts first kick but does not pull 6th or 6th gear. Just makes a hollow sound. (Prob pipes) So since I like to know the state of my used toy, I decided to do a full tear down. I did find a very odd carborator set up. Both carbs had different size main jets in them and the needle clip was set two positions different then the other. I'm new to dual carb bike but pretty sure that's not right. From all my reading on here I have ordered and received the following 1. New cylinders with MX Hardcore porting, cool head with domes for pump gas, true and welded crank(Thank you Kevin Herr). 2. CFM air box and filters 3. Chariotte Performance reed cage, Instake with built in crossover, clutch pancake bushing clutch adjuster thing, Neutral switch cover, easy drain water pump cover. (Thanks Jerry) 4. Mull engineering water pump gear, high flow water empellar, shift star, and shift star linkage bearing. I will be replace all seals and gasket for both upper and lower ends and replacing any worn motor parts once inside. It goes without say that all chassis, wheel bearings ECT will be replaced after powder coating. 5. FMF Fatty pipes and silencers ( CPI for future) I there anything else that this community vast knowledge knows about before I get right into the rebuild that should also look at. I am on the hunt for new a-arms and shocks just not sure as of yet new or lightly used. I'm from Central Ontario Canada so trying to find aftermarket parts is tough, so if any other Canadian members know of places for parts let me know. Or any of the site sponsors have dealers here in Canada. Thanks in advance for any and all information. Sent from my LG-H831 using Tapatalk
  11. All is good. No stranger to the dark side. Fist step in getting to know someone is see their reactions. But back on topic are there any disadavanges to the cheaper rads? If cooling is the same how's the fitment. When parts finally get here, will start a thread if I have any stupid questions. Any idea of any Canadian part distributors. Have pretty much exhausted the local dealer of what they can order.
  12. All cool. And thank you. I have found lots of great info on hear. Just starting a complete rebuild of a 2007 banshee. It was in great condition when I got it. But I'm that type of guy that needs to knoe, tearing down to frame and rebuilding. I've order all my parts from site sponsors so far. Just need a few more things then the fun begins. I'm sure I will have a few questions when the time come. Thank you in advance
  13. Just no need for it in this day and age. Yes you are correct. No cost for healthcare. Dental does not get covered unless you have private coverage for dental. But price is reasonable. As for riding no limits hear for sound ECT. Many areas allow ATV riding on streets just not allowed on free way 100mk or 60Miles. Great place. But would love to ride in the states some day.
  14. Really. As a new member on hear and not asking any queztion, just ready post to get an idea of what to do with me bike. I've come across many statements like this. I feel pitty for you simple mind. But if you ever in central north Ontairo drop by and we can show you what's Canada all about.
