  1. made up my mock cardboard pieces yesturday. should be cut off the laser at work in a day or two.
  2. alright so after thinking about it im going to add the important gussets.. does any one still make kits? if not some pics on where they go will help, then i can blue print them and have them cut off the lasers at work😁
  3. if i go used shocks they will be fox podiums off a polaris outlaw.. right length fully rebuildable and can add remote resis if needed
  4. another thing with the alba a arms, is im going to have the re powder coated as they only come in black
  5. any good shock retailers around?
  6. alba has a lt set up with shocks for a good price.. seems cheaper to buy the package vs buying the shocks seperate
  7. i will be building it, cylinders are getting ported at f.a.s.t . along with buying verious parts from them..
  8. doing a 4mil this winter. driveline or hot rods crank?
  9. are their other silencers that will bolt up to the head pipes. i have the old square style silencers, they sound terrible.. i love the rasp of a 2 stroke. toomeys dmc916s procircuits cpi's ect...
  10. thing that bothers me with albas is the shitty bushings, i could make brass ones at work to make it a none issue. but buy once cry once?
  11. im not cutting any thing off my frame, my shee has a title all matching numbers. if i wanted to go that route id buy a spare frame to chop up..
  12. the more i think about it the more im leaning to stock length shocks and just +2+1 a arms.. im not racing and really wont be jumping
  13. i hate the way the stingers on em sound
  14. so this winter i am doing a frame up build, right now bike is stock with a set of fmf gold series fattys on it that i picked up cheap..going to be doing a 4mil long rod with a play/dune port. looking for a reliable 65hp machine, had my mind set on slp pipes due to the torque they make. but i recently seen a dyno chart on here and the pro circuits made only a few ftlbs less torque and i think 2hp more peak with a bit longer power band. has got me re thinking my choice, opinions? thanks
  15. also if i buy outlaw shocks id have them rebuilt for me.
  16. i get it and apreciate the advice, but just so were on the same page. this build is purely mid life crisis, only going to be run maybe 3 tanks of gas a year on seasonal roads in the north east. i doubt choppin the oem frame with title would be worth it
  17. if i were to go the fireball a arm route, id prob pick up a used set of shocks off a polaris outlaw. they are 18.5 center to center
  18. top notch as in i never was a racer nor wanted to be. but worked good over stock at a good price for a weekend warrior
  19. my biggest conceren right now is getting the chassis powder coated and the motor built. suspension is the last piece but its driving me nutz.
  20. yes , the father passed away. they went out of buisness then im assuming the kids took it over. only way i found them was via google. only reason i searched them was because i remember them being top notch back in the 90s and early 2000's
  21. talked to alba about there a arms and how the bushings wear out. i asked if they made bronze bushings and they dont. they said they only have problems with the them, with people racing mx. i doubt thats true, trying to justify spending the extra coin for top notch componets when i really wont be utilizing them fully
  22. im still trying to decide if im even going long travel. i wont really need it, but i figured if im doing a full build why not do it
