  4. got my alloybolts engine bolt kit. ordered 2 different kits to get what i needed, good prices good people. for those of you that have them. are you doing reduced torque with loc tight or anti sieze? posted this on FB as more people use that now. but serious lack of iq on there. cheers
  5. by crank and tranny seals i mean the rubber seals them selves and where they ride
  6. so before i put my bottom end together i was watching some vids on youtube. just to see what other people are doing. watched on video of a known channel good info but one thing struck me odd. adding sealant to the crank and tranny sealing surfaces. ive always been tought that this is a no no reguardless of motor. seemed really odd normally just a very lite film of grease so you dont tear the rubber. any of yall do this aswell?
  7. the carrior tabs can bend. but becarefull. the stock swing arm has a weird angle to it, when the carrior is bolted on. it almost looks like one is crooked to one another
  8. ya thats how i currently have mine, ordered two clamps but it looks like one will have to suffice
  9. this is the difference then. all of that stuff is still on mine. not really enough room
  10. id say it sounds like its running out of fuel
  11. looks the mounting bracket for the heel guard is removed on your frame?
  12. but aside that im still trying to figure out how in the hell "loco" managed to get 2 modquad resi clamps to fit on his rear can
  13. think i figured how to make these work. run the right hand side over to the left side, then up steering hoop as a pair.. not ideal for my taste but should be ok.
  14. rear skid must have been fabed up around the oem chain guide. dug my old one out of scrap bin and it fits. will sell my modquad guide and just buy oem. all the hardwear with the modquad set up turned me off any ways
  15. ordered up a general standard rear grab bar from xfr. looked good but the tail light brackets were far too narrow to take my 05 rear brake light. called them told them what was going on and was told i wasnt the only one with this issues.said they were having fixture issues, and would make it right. week goes by nothing, contacted them they said sorry extreamly busy we will get to it. i understand that a 46 dollar grab bar isnt top priority. another week still nothing called again and got another sorry. so i told them i will fix it myself and ask if they would work on price for rear skid plate, they agreed and refunded a sum of money. great getting some where! well a month goes by still no skid plate, site says they were in stock. called again told them i ordered a skid plate a month ago still havnt got it, opps our mistake we will send today. well i got it last week finally and went to put on tonight. mounting tabs to narrow, ehh no big deal bend em out.. did that and shit , it will not clear my modquad chain guide. either going to have to notch the plate out for it and or cut it bend it and weld a spacer in. i did not try it with the oem chain guide, it might work with the oem im not sure.. if i had payed the full 94 dollar retail on this plate id be highly dissapointed. but over all im kinda dissapointed for having to rework these basic bolt on parts. makes me nervious to try my xfr nerf bars waiting in the box. l
  16. alright, i am anal as hell and try to make every thing perfect. i wasnt happy with the alba brake line kit that came with my a arms, to much extra line. ordered up a double line streamline +2 kit as i have +2 arms +2 steering stem. got the kit and its worse as far as extra line length. clears the bars by a good 8in after being run and looks like shit all looped in and flopping around behind the radiator. there has got to be a better way as far as running these lines. imput much apreciated
  17. as soon as i typed soft shaft, i knew where this post would end up
  18. ordered a mac daddy billet water pump kit, not some chi com knock off shit. after some research i see some billet water pumps have soft shafts causing seal wear and leaking. any one have experiance with this brand? thanks
