  1. i am looking to install Fasst Flexx bars onto my banshee and i already have a set of ProTaper 1 1/8 fat bar adapters to do it with. My question is about what to do with the stock key switch and if the cables and wires will be long enough. I have one of the Moose Easy-Pull devices for my clutch (HD clutch springs and ASV short lever seem like a tiresome combo) so i know the clutch cable will be long enough. How are you guys handling key switch relocation; i was hoping to keep it in the same area but the wire seems to be a little short for the 1.5-2" higher location. Are the kill switch/light control wires long enough to reach ok? Will my throttle cable be long enough or will the bike be free reving when its turned full lock to the right? Is there anything else i am overlook for installing these bars? Thanks
  2. Craig, are you looking to get rid of your SLP's already? I just bought myself a set on Friday but if you're offloading them i might be interested in them lol
  3. I was looking at your mods list and wondering why you needed the c12 gas instead of pump gas? Your domes are more inline with pump use, did your motor compression test over 160 psi or am I missing something? Just asking because no one else mentioned it. On a side note I thought your name was familiar; I remember seeing you post that 363 set up on one of the 250r boards or 3ww. Had an out of frame pipe I think Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. fuck all of that, you should be speaking with a lawyer about your doctors new negligence based medical malpractice case because they missed this much. You should be seeking other professional opinions like yesterday, i would be so livid if they just 'overlooked' something like that. i work with physicians for a living and from that personal experience dealing with them I will never trust another doctors opinion again. They are all just guessing, no more gifted or special than you and me. These guys fuck up enough that you should try to find a second (and third) opinion if you can. Theres good physicians out there but seriously waiting on one to get back from vacation almost 2 weeks from now would have me fuming! dont mean to rant, you seem way more calm about this than i would be! But then again you do have 5 kids so you probably have nerves of steel by now lol
  6. Is it not aggressively spreading? Or did they just miss/overlook that portion in your femur on the last visit? I have seen people that went straight into surgery the same day after a diagnosis is why I ask about them waiting, looking back at my last post it seems blunt so my apologies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Fuck why are they waiting just take the damn parts out now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Totally sorry about fucking up the thread just throwing out a suggestion. I want some damn leds lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. its all been said already but i think you should keep the bike. We all need an escape from the daily life, with a major event like this upon you it might be just the escape from reality you need. Good luck in whatever you decide to do
  10. Or hell, bar set ups for handle bars with mounting equipment and pigtails would be sweet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I want one bad. I would do a kit with mounting and wiring pigtails. I keep saving pics of bikes I like with set ups I want to duplicate. I these are 12 or 13.5" bars Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks again ZillaFreak and everyone els. A Arms are due anytime now, can't wait to try these out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. wrote this response below to strm trprs post but its gone now. my brother owned an ATV shop for a few years and is pretty comfortable tearing into banshee motors. We were just looking to have the crank welded, ad a timing plate and coolhead with domes to get the compression up around 150psi. I was trying to keep things 'mild' for now since its a new to me bike and i dont really want some 80hp quad (atleast right now). We were going to check the pistons and cylinders to see if they were even worth reusing before i bought rings and other stuff, a bore and forged pistons arent a big deal i was just trying to get the crank welded and do a few mods on the cheap. If i start looking at porting and tranny mods it will turn into a 4mil build with way too many extra parts i didnt want to do yet. Thats all. I had seen posts on here about people having their cranks come apart with stock banshees just running sand paddles and pipes so i was opting for crank welding and some small mods prior to our glamis trip in February. We have access to all kinds of retailer discounts from companies like Magnum and WPS etc which makes most of the parts i need 25% cheaper to get.
  14. thanks for the feedback guys. I am supposed to be pulling the motor for a refresh which includes leak down and compression test before it comes apart. I am planning to have the crank welded by Precision Powersports here locally and i was going to have the cylinders checked to make sure they are still within spec. My goal was to get the crank welded and throw some rings and a hone at the top end while its apart. This is my first banshee and i dont know if i want a 4mil or if some basic bolt ons will be enough, but i know a welded crank is a must no matter where i go from here. I want to learn the bike since its my first Shee. My Elka stage3's and long travel Alba A Arms are all purchased already, just trying to prep the motor for adding some compression and timing to it
  15. I have seen posts on here where people talk about finding yamaha rings to re-ring their stock top end for 20 bucks (two packs of Yamaha rings for $20 total). Cheapcycleparts and bikebandit are showing $39 for what i think is only one pair of Yamaha rings (would need two orders to get the 4 i need if i have that right). http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2006-yamaha-banshee-350-special-edition-yfz350sev/o/m145316#sch523512 even this ebay listing would be about 50 bucks for rings and from what i see arent even Yamaha (WSM?). http://www.ebay.com/itm/201384991927?item=201384991927&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr You guys find rings anywhere special that wont cost almost 100 bucks for me to throw new rings in my rehoned top end? Still on stock bore

    Pipes

lm interested in seeing what you guys might have for a decent set of pipes. I have a stock set up with basic upgrades and would leaning towards a set of the Pro Circuit pipes. If someone was selling a set of SLP's I would be all over it, my budget just doesnt include a new set of pipes or I'd just get them from JDS. If you have either PC or SLP let me know, thanks
  17. I keep seeing people that have thrown pipes/increased compression/advanced timing/cylinder porting and other stuff on their stock un-welded cranks and don’t even seem nervous about being on borrowed time. Is a welded stock crank really necessary with basic bolts ons? Obviously theres all kinds of horror stories out there about failures but theres also got to be a shit ton of people just out beating on their bikes not having problems so you never hear about them. Im about to ad timing/compression/air filters/reeds/pipes and a few other things to my newly purchased bone stock 06 in preparation for a week at Glamis in February. We are pulling the motor this weekend to leak down and compression test followed by having the stock crank welded plus either rehone/rering the stock cylinders or have them bored depending on how things look if bores are still round. I keep seeing all these people running stock unwelded cranks and it has me fighting the urge to half ass things by skipping the crank welding since im probably just going to tear the thing apart after Glamis for a 4mil build anyways. It is cheap insurance for the trip though; 100 bucks to have the crank welded and another 50 bucks in rings/gaskets/seals to pull it apart for a refresh VS chancing the crank failing me during the trip at any time. Shit I don’t know. Going to have it welded and trued for sure, Im just wondering what your guys thoughts are about how often stock cranks really fail when not welded
  18. i appreciate all the feedback guys, until yesterday i had no idea the cast ones were junk. $60 for billet vs $30 cast may seem trivial but my budget is set for now. After buying my new bike, the Alba A Arms and Elka Stage3's, i am sitting on about 500 bucks. I get a considerable discount through Vitos so the goal was to grab the timing plate, stealth cool head, domes, TORS delete, and a few other things to help save cash for a used set of pipes. Before i bought the bike a few weeks ago i cap'd myself at 5K for everything and thats where I have to keep things for this first round because i have new born twin girls at home. I will give the Vito's plate a shot, its going to be like $20 after discount and i may be tearing this motor down for a 4mill build after we hit Glamis in February if im not happy with the power.
  19. Also, if they crack does that result in some catastrophic timing advance or is it more just the PITA that you have to pull things apart to replace it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Well shit isn't the stock plate cast? Thanks for the feedback. I might just hog out the factory one if it's that big of a deal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Was busy reading threads in the general banshee discussion forums and randomly came across a post where one of the regular members on here was saying to avoid the cast timing plates in favor of a billet version. This was in a thread like 10 months old and was the first I had seen someone talking about avoiding any certain type of timing advance plates. I have one on my list to get from Vito's with their stealth cool head/domes and tors delete. Should I not be ordering that timing plate for any reason? I didn't want to modify my stock plate for fear of advancing the timing too much by accident but my budget is tight after the elkas and a arm purchases lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. That's a real shame man! I would think a bike with those mods/parts would turn up online at some point. I followed the AF cr500 conversion guys over the last few years when I had my 500, always thought it would be cool to have an AF motard to cruise the streets with Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I don't have input on jets but are your cylinders ported? Aside from race gas you're going to be running the same set up im putting together. I'm interested in the SLP pipes but haven't found much info about their performance on non stroked/unported motors Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Looks like you're off to a solid start! What kind of AF bikes had you done previously Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
