Awesome info, fuck HD springs I guess time for a lock up!
-
I saw these yesterday when I was shopping def seems like a great deal! So you can just run stock springs with these and the lock up does the rest of the work, if that's the case then I'm sold. I'll have to get one and install it after Glamis, I'm tapped out for cash with buying a house and a new rzr1000 this month. Like beyond broke praying the banshee doesn't need anything else to make it a runner again lol
-
That's gnarly, stoke stroke or? And Carl's port work I assume? At this point I just want the end result to be a stout bike with some good reliable power. I think I've followed most of the good advice people on here gave me, should be a great machine when I get out in the sand in 39 days
-
You're killing me lol. Parts keep adding up, I'm going to have to rock it as is for now. The cranks been trued and welded and bearings checked out by Precision Powersports. I will probably end up riding it at Glamis in February and tear it all back apart to do a 4mil if I want more power. I don't know jack about lock ups, I will do some research to see what all I need to buy for one and what's involved with the install. May do one now if it's not too expensive

Girls mad at me for buying too many banshee parts. Hence, more god damn banshee parts and vodka Shift shafty mcshafterson

Well here's a dumb question: does this impeller I had originally have a 'hardened shaft'? Because I was under the impression only a few people sellingh them offer a billet impeller with a hardened shaft. The old one is fucked, makes me curious about who made it and why it wore out if it is indeed hardened. The new one is a chariot piece, I need to dig out my paperwork for the old one.

Dat motherfucken PROMOD DOE.

All this talk about hand jobs has me thinking about banshees Package received from Jeff. Fucking awesome company will def send Jeff at FAST unsolicited dick pics. Sex box Pingy mcpingleson Cock ring set for the entire family Angry butt plug Futuristic nipple covers and catheter line Chariot cumin thru with that hardened shaft Who the fuck knows. Probably o ring kit and random crap Ass gasket for those awkward airplane toirlets.

i actually had the Moose easy pull contraption, you can see in in the pics a few pages ago on here. It didnt really give me any noticeable improvement. I had it on my cr500 powered ATC250r bike and on this bike with the HD clutch springs, neither bikes were really easier with it. Dont wast the $45 for one. I mean unless you want to, in which case you can have mine for $20 shipped lol

Purple Banshee winter makeover project

that attention to detail is insane man, nice looking bike before you even tore it down -
i stumbled across them a month ago, i have probably watched 90% of the banshee related videos on stuff i thought i knew how to do and keep learning new techniques or tricks etc. His vids are awesome, he explains things in a clear way and does a good job with editing too. His most used comment is "and do this like so" which has created my new favorite drinking game to play while watching vids lol. ya the guy has made videos for so many basic things which are a big help, even the ones you'd think are simple are probably helping someone out there. Def a good guy. The clutch lever was done by Sheerider11 i think his board name is, Rob Pierce i believe is his actual name. He moves the cable mounting point to create better leverage as i understand it. Im switching back to the full HD spring set to make sure i dont have issues with the new power this thing should make, i just hated the clutch pull with the full HD spring set previously.

Some new parts showed up. FAST sent their package including the pro-mod tranny this morning. Need to see what other parts I'm missing besides the top end JDS LED light bar set up Sheerider easy pull clutch mod Bearing showed up for the detention arm bearing mod. Removed the OEM roller just need to pick up the bolt and lock nut. Leak down tester from South Texas Banshee. No idea if you guys are For against this guy, but his YouTube tutorials are fucking amazing for someone like me that is building a banshee motor alone for the first time.

Ok added a pingel to the order with Jeff at FAST. Thanks for the advice guys! Can't wait to get all the parts back and reassemble
-
thanks for the advice, i sent my stock unported jugs off to Sleeper to work his magic and FAST is doing the pro-mod tranny now. Im just looking for some better all around power, it felt fine in the trails here in Missouri but out in the dunes i think it really could have been stronger. I've seen the dyno results from the SLP pipes making great all around power including JDS' 4mil which made like 70 or 80hp, i imagine these pipes should be perfect for what im doing. Just general duning and trail riding, i dont really drag race or anything wild. I took the ball out of the tank lid so there wasnt a risk of blockage, do i really need to do anything else to avoid starving the motor of fuel on long WOT runs? Trying to avoid a Pingle, i dont think my bike is hardcore enough to warrant one of those but please tell me if im wrong!

Nice find! She's clean for sure

just noticed my damn phone corrected easy to east. God damn phone. I actually have one of the Chariot extended thumb throttle assemblies that i've used on the last 5 bikes and typically really like it. I will lube the cable, its a new one with three different riding trips on it so far so i wouldnt think its all that worn out but i will try that before i buy a honda assembly. thanks guys!
-
Call me a pussy but I'd like a slightly easier spring pull and I'm not going to cut the stock springs. I don't see anyone selling east springs either. Went to fastenal to see about ordering a better spring but I didn't realize there were like 9 parameters for springs which makes this literally impossible. Is there an easy solution?

i've already got an aluminum drive gear, i just really need the impeller at this point. a quick drain pump cover would be nice but i will smooth this one out. i never had leaking issues with it so the sealing surface never gave me trouble, its just all jacked up looking so i dont know what did it or why. so just no mod quad.
-
which brand do i need to go with here for the impeller, i thought i'd seen people post about certain ones that arent good quality and cause problems. Also looking at the quick drain pump covers too, theres a few on ebay for as low as $14 shipped. I may just take your advice trickedcarbine and smooth this cover down myself to save a few bucks. Im about to search around for info on the chariot ultra high flow pumps to see if those are worthwhile. Im all for better cooling mods but im not some crazy high hp bike and their ad even states it probably wont show lower temps in the cooling system just help reduce hot spots etc.
-
Motors apart for port and pro-mod, for fun I popped the impeller out and there's some light marks on the shaft, is this thing trash? I have new seals/bushings coming already. I can feel the marks with my finger nail but it's not indented seriously, do I need to replace this? And wtf is all this marking on the inside of the water pump cover? It looks like someone took a Grindr to it. The impeller has no evidence of contact with the water pump cover so I'm confused why it looks that way.

I'm just here for the gang bang
-
hell ya thanks man i appreciate that! if you can take some close up pics of the arm so i have a better idea that would also be awesome but i can probably just figure it out with the bearing part number
-
ya honestly im excited to see what all these mods do for the riding experience. Im a 'more is better' kind of guy; doing the pro-mod and adding stuff like the shift star mod plus notching the shift shaft and doing the detent arm bearing mod are all things that people say are improvements. So why the hell not throw everything at it since its not exactly that much money to do this anyhow.
-
im not real sure to be honest! i can snap a few pics when i get it back but both gear assemblies will be assembled so it will be hard to see some of the actual work they did. I will post pics either way though
