  1. Just picked up a factory manual . Guy on eBay sells pdf format for $5 bucks
  2. I was going to say a QT to 5 gal lol. Ok cool I'll give 40:1 a go be good for the trails . Got to dig out the ratio cup been a wile . Use to running bottle of spectro to 5 gal which I think is 52:1 . So 16oz to 5 gal 40:1
  3. Yea golden Spec 10/30 clutch saver they told me to use I was like you sure? Lol. I always ran 80w
  4. Thanks guys yes it's not my first rodeo just my first banshee lol. So fuck the eBay shocks lol. I ride trail and open field runs wide open. I don't jump or anything like that to old and bad knee from all years riding etc . So I QT of 2r is 40:1? Think maybe that would be better for trail riding ? Half throttle or so. Or should I just stick to 32:1. I'm starting to think that maybe the packing could be oiled soaked from the way it was smoking today the whole street was a cloud lol. Front end never left the ground either banshees pull the tires or? I mean if I clutch it I'm sure it will but . I'm prob going to do the FMF kit with power core 2 pipes very soon.
  5. Sure man guy wanted 4500 got it for $3200 after going back and forth . It's so mint I did not mind paying a little more . Only thing I noticed it the rear axle bearings have a little play. Hey what's the deal with these nitro fully adjustable front shocks on eBay ? $98 bucks? Wtf lol. Wonder it there any good?
  6. That's what I'm thinking maybe the smoking was from built up oil is stock pipes and muffler packing idk . I never use the fuel in the tank when buying a used machine but I was so excited to ride it I did lol. I'll try 32:1 and see how it goes . As a lot of people don't under stand the less oil and more fuel the richer the mixture burns . All my 50:1 bikes with golden spec had some small mains I tell you . I try to explain that to people and there like what dude your crazy you have it backwards lol.
  7. I agree with you guys . I just changed gear lube with Spec clutch saver 10/30 that's ok right? Guys at part store recommended it. Also 40:1 with stock jetting? May be to rich know? 32:1 yamalube is what I'm hearing but 40:1 may be better in the trails? Pipes I would just go with gold series for some added torque in the trails . No other mods . The bike runs great . So back to pre mix and case oil .
  8. What's up guys new to the forum and new to my new banshee . It's a 2000 been in storage for 10 years, bought it off a 1 owner older guy that bought it brand new . Original top end bone stock. Top end Psi is 130 left 128 right. I'm a mechanic for trade (15 years) 32 years old . I have owner every quad and dirt bike all most under the sun lol. Built a few 250r quads, yz250's own a rzr 900 etc . NEVER owned a banshee though. The quad is in showroom condition it's so weird lol. Scored it . Anyhow was riding today and she was smoking like a train don't know if it's from sitting or the guy mixed the gas on the rich side or what but . So with it being bone stock 32:1 yamalube ok or? I always ran golden spec at 50:1 on all my bikes but they had pipes and rejet jobs etc. 32:1 good for a stock shee? Trail riding and high speed field runs. Lmk fellas . What else should I do ? I kind of want to throw a FMF gold series pipe kit on it and rejet but the machine is so mint I kind of feel bad lol. Also the dude has a K&N filter on it should I ditch that and put the stock foam set up back on? I like foam filters with oil type deal but maybe the K&N is better?
