  1. my buddy has a stock stroke trail ported bike from Driveline performance; stock carbs, pump gas 140 psi , vforce 2 reeds, with slp pipes and mades 57 HP. Its a very fun quad to ride and has all the low end you are looking for.
  2. for the leak down test? no you just leave them in im assuming no experience with pv but im assuming they are sealed. does it have an override transmission ?
  3. IF you wanna ride it, do a compression and leak down test first, then let er rip.
  4. looks to be as described. x2 on the bore scope or just drain the coolant and pull the head and see. Those shocks are junk though apparently, according to people on then net, ive seen pictures of them literally folded after some big bumps, or jumps im assuming.
  5. who knows why it was neglected, happens a lot. Thread is 12 years old doubt the OP will post lol is this a new issue? or has it always been like this since you got your banshee? Sounds like a jetting issue to me but if I were you, I would.. 1. compression test each side first bc its the fastest diagnostic step 2. OHM all electrical components and make sure all electrical is in good shape. 3. clean carbs make sure they are both in sync with each other at idle and part throttle
  6. my buddy has a stock stroke bike thats trail ported with just a bunch of bolts on and its a blast, if it had suspension and arms etc, it would be much better. Id go with what ginger said if i was just doing a trail bike
  7. take the 1700 the full part out will be a waste of time for an extra 200 ish bucks plus dealing with tire kickers
  8. check compression. depending on port timings that 18cc is pretty small compression is probably pretty high unless he was riding high elevation area. You will need stroker domes cut.
  9. im assuming. Ask fast they might be vito needles who know. I ran vitos on mine when I had it ran perfect. if you really wanna be sure just spend the extra 20 and get toomeys and be done with it. whats another 20 you already dropped a grand into it lol
  10. get vitos, the red needles its the same as toomey
  11. with 35mm carbs yup. will be gone fast
  12. yes bend it down if need be. can grind the nut down a bit too but just try bending the clutch arm down mine rubs a little
  13. vito or toomey needle will fix it, sweet looks like you found the issue then.
  14. more quiet than regular packing material, id have to do a true DB test though, like i said perhaps placebo, but seems like it
  15. check the yfz conversion thread areas might be there
  16. I repacked my shearers with the fmf long lasting material (shredded pillowy stuff) i swear it made mine quieter, maybe it was placebo. but it took me a while to cram the stuff in there. its a tight fit
  17. if its really rich and sputtery before it starts to make power lean the needle out a clip see if it helps. if you leak tested it already dont let that worry you
  18. adjust the air fuel screw in/out it will tell you what you need. If it feels like its running rich turn that air fuel screw out another full turn see what happens. Race fuel you will probably be able to jet leaner than pump fuel. If it starts fine right now do a plug chop on the main get that dialed in. those numbers are pretty spot on though my old DL 4 mil with stockers on pump was 350 main 35 or 37.5 pilot vito needle same spot, obviously driveline can direct you as well via email or what ever ur using. Bill scheel helps run that joint too hes on fb
  19. hahaha i must just be used to skeeters zingers all the time. btw steven66 i just listened to the video sounds good! i like he idea of toomey silencers on FMFs. should run really well. you will love it
  20. cant tell if sarcasm or not but dont matter because bill and lane taught me everything I know basically so what ever they tell him trumps anything I say lol
  21. yeah front mtr mounts, there are little dampners that go in between those mounts and on the motor. id run all 4 if you can instead of 2, will vibrate a little more than the stock mtr your coming from
  22. "im picking up on your sarcasm" "id hope so because im laying it on pretty thick"
  23. you just posted a thread that I responded to asking this. look at that one, btw you dont have stock cylinders
  24. Okay well find out all the jets that are in it, hard to help when you dont know what you have. I have a 7 as well and I have a 50 pilot, CEL needle on 2nd clip and 158 main jet if that helps
