I lol'd just imagining that whole scene, especially the end. I wouldnt sell it to him either, just out of spite.
Carl is this a stock stroke, stock bore bike?
I saw them post looking for a new head for you, they were deff banging on all 2 cylinders ( banshee pun) trying to get u taken care of. Good stuff, glad to know.
I wouldnt use that as a huge selling point imo.
you have all the access you need to find a good starting point via BHQ.
But if they have good deal why not go with them.
This pic was sent to me from Jeff and that was what he told me.. Makes sense that they would mark the most commonly used timing degree though, so just count the grooves after the black mark. tbh this timing plate is hard af to read.
I emailed Jeff at fast about this.. I was having the same problem with mine.. It was SO hard to read.. Here let me attach the pic he sent me, gimme a sec
Edit: I just looked at the pic and not gunna bother messing with crap bucket. your at plus 4 right now.
Compression check, then Be sure to check reeds to see if you have any serious chips or missing pedals, was chasing my tail once bc i didnt check those sooner. Pull carbs off inspect all jets and intake components before moving on to electrical.
Was wondering if i could get some tips.
The finish on the slp pipes suck. I wanna try and polish them up or something and get a better look out of them. I have all the tools i need to do it, but have no idea where to start.
Id imagine that any lock out cover would allow you to be able to remove the slingshot pressure plate and access the ball bearings. Ill measure my slingshot this week and try and find out some measurements of a lockout to see if what im saying is true.
Im sure i annoyed Jd more than this guy when I bought his old bike. I hit him up like 8 times to ask him stupid questions. So I still win here. but Jds cool with me now.. I think? ...
