idk much about drag motors bc I don't have much (any) h experience with them, but as n20 said. I know I experienced the plugs backing out when I high too much compression and not enough octane

man you got a great deal it looks like! good job. those pipes should clean up nice if you put some time into them. you got the better end of that deal I would say.

Lol. Well, DO NOT run that thing without coolant unless u wanna burnt ur motor down. First thing i would do is fix that front end with the proper shocks. my favorite feature is how the slack adjuster locks into place when you click it over.

If u were turning more rpms and compression like 170 psi with shearers then 6 would be good but with 140 150 psi and those pipes 4 is the spot. Sent from my LGMS210 using Tapatalk

you can cut any tabs off with an angle grinder. from reading through this thread it sounds like you might be over thinking things. Did u ride it yet?

Hey Op. I just saw this thread and saw you never updated with jetting. I am running the low ports on my bike with stock carbs, same elevation (close to it), vf2s, pods, slp pipes with 150 psi. My jetting is perfect with 360 main, 37.5 pilot, vitos needle on the 4th and air screw is 1.25 turn out right now. once fall hits Ill up the main a size and go to 1 turn out just to be safe.

my guess is he gave up and just burnt the pile. haven't heard back from him

second that. be sure to offer him less esp if the motor hasn't been opened up or isn't currently. I just bought a project quad with everything it needed. Once I thoroughly went through it all a lot of it was messed up and once I split the case it had a bent transmission counter shaft and a broken clutch basket and idler gear. what ever he wants (if its priced accordingly) offer 200 less if the roller is decent and all the bolts and crap are there.

get slp pipes for the trails. U will not be disappointed

Id really like to try shearer pipes on my low ports to see how they feel. My redline setup with the shearers was way too peaky. If any one around the Mid Michigan has shearers ill trade and let u try my slps for fun
