  1. im kidna serious. if i can take the time off i might actually come this year. do i have to get a camp spot? i got a pop up tent i can bring
  2. sweet let me know my friend isnt a tire kicker, its a younger kid i met on craigs list that i sold my old pipes too. Good kid. Helping him with his bike now days. txt me some pics 2482147918
  3. hes at 500, higher elevation he would need smaller jets (less fuel, because less air at higher alt) he is also riding in 100 temps so he could prolly afford to go down a size but it wouldnt bog if it were rich on the top end, it would be blubbery and not rev out all the way, to me it sounds lean from what he is saying. also didnt you just melt your motor down in your previous thread
  4. yeah thats needle position he said it bogs AT half throttle, any time ive got issues transitioning from mid to top, it has been cleared up by adjusting the needle
  5. Needle position is what you need to adjust. How does it run at WOT? rev clean all the way through?
  6. http://drivelineperformance.com/yamaha-banshee-billet-cool-head/ 160+ 50 for domes http://drivelineperformance.com/yamaha-banshee-dune-trail-clutch-kit/ 75 for clutch chariot timing plate is another 50? i think thats 335 total or have someone port your cylinders for 350-500. Porting will make the most power but the stock components will hold the potential back
  7. Those are little mods that honestly all banshee owners that dump money into them do. a new water pump bearing, impeller and gear with that alum rad would be nice considering your temps. also you could just clean your air filter timing plate is a good mod with a cool head and increased compression. options are endless just depends on what you are looking for
  8. you can bang them bearings in and out with a dead blow just so you know just in case you planned on spending money to have someone press them in.
  9. I need good working parts, for a friend eccentric screw billet basket or oem basket with good cushions after market clutch
  10. what did you do about the pilot?? what did you have in there and what did you change it to?
  11. yeah i knew about that i just didnt know if the coolant would all stay in if it was tipped to the side too
  12. Do you need to drain coolant when you take the side over off? I have a stock cover slingshot lock up
  13. I had that happen before on my old tether.. I think that happens when it the ground wire is not wired right. I could be wrong
  14. 100 is so hot to ride in, i almost dont even like riding when its the hot any more. A cooler plug might help too. how much timing does it have?
  15. hopefully you dont have a stock carb jet screwed into your carbs lol
  16. you cant be running a 27.5 main. thats stock carb jet sizes. check your pilot size and go up 2-3 sizes with air screw 1 turn out. 48-52 pilot should be about where its at. you have air stykers? or pwks
  17. What series plugs what octane gas good water pump bearing and impellar? you still running the drag ported 421 with cpis? Sounds like its building heat are the plugs backing out at all? I had some slight detonation at the dunes while back to back drag racing long pulls. plugs backed out with one plug bridge starting to collapse, i upped the main from a 155 to a 160 and it never happened again. This was also in 90+ degree heat in the sand with a 8 series plug
  18. sounds like a fun bike. +5 timing should be good
  19. looks sweet now post some videos of some hard pulls with that thing not just putting around!!
  20. Idc if you write novels or not will just make it easier for you to get the help you need. most the people here that are knowledge enough to help you only need so much info. like if i had a jetting question because my bike is running too lean, instead of writing a whole paragrah with every detail, i could say "bike starts hard when cold and bogs in the mid range. ported cub on race fuel 35 pwks 158, 48, cel mid 2 turns out" and they will know what that means. just a suggestion bc most people arent going to read all that lol
  21. not trying to be rude but next time just write a shorter thread with shorter and to the point responses because I could have never gathered that ^ from what you were posting. It will also save you from people commenting being smart asses so you will get more effective answers off the bat
  22. I think there is a reason that most people that want to be fast, own a banshee.
