  1. I'll check to see if it changes with clutch in.....I did not overheat it or run it out of fuel
  2. My 01 is Fresh off a complete rebuild from hot rods crank to fresh topend. All new seals gaskets o rings. New water pump gear, bearing and seal. New intakes new exhaust rings and springs. Runs great , starts first kick every time. About 10 hrs on it and it started Making a chattering noise on deceleration . Sounds near water pump. Could it be the gear already or impeller?
  3. Bought a number 11 cone shaped spring and a number 1 straight spring. Cut cone shaped spring down to fit post. Cut other spring down to fit hole in post. Then bought Allen screw to match hole, had to cut down but all worked great
  4. Thanks. Checked again at Ace and they had the springs! Kicker is now solid. Better than new!
  5. Anywhere online to order the springs for this mod? I looked at our local ace hardware and a few other places with no luck. Any help would be appreciated!
  6. I'm running 34 mm carbs with 34 mm upp intakes. In order to make my airbox fit right I cut the tabs off, removed snorkel , removed coolant overflow bottle and had two metal brackets made to move the two mounting holes on the frame move back about 1.5 inches in order for the airbox holes to line up. Works great!
  7. Will trade fmf Fattys with power core 2 silencers. Great shape . Why you selling these?
  8. Thanks guys, guess I'll try and rig it up . Just doesn't make sense that they couldn't make it to fit better.
  9. Trying to install the front chain slider by UPP. I got the old one off and the upp around the Swingarm, but it seems as if there is know way this thing will clamp together especially with the small Allen screw . Am I missing something?
  10. I just got done a full rebuild, hot rods crank all new gaskets cylinders bored and honed 64.25. Leak down test was good after replacing intakes with new upp intakes and boots. Carbs are keihin 34 pj . Pd cool head 22cc domes. Fired up on 3rd kick . Idled great, my only concern is that the left pipe (stator side) was running a lot colder than the right ( clutch side ) . Slides are in correct and adjusted. Anyone have suggestions as to what would cause this?
  11. Ok, just curious if that was the reason the back of stock gear was partly stripped out
  12. Does anyone know of a company who produces a slightly thicker washer that goes in front of plastic drive gear behind the e clip on the impeller to avoid the gear moving back and fourth on the impeller shaft? I tried local hardware store but was unsuccesful.
  13. Can you explain the process to "lap" it to the crank?
  14. Yeah I understand how to get the box off, just looking to remove those tabs because with bigger carbs it's a pain in the ass to take on and off because of such little clearance. May try pods though
