  1. Does this come with pistons and head or just the cylinders?
  2. Thanks a lot for all the information guys, I really appreciate it. It's been most helpful in making my decision. Redline what is the best way to talk to you more about getting one of these setup for me? Do you prefer email or by phone?
  3. I realize that a 100+ hp and a 60+ torque duner is going to be a hand full.. but that's what will make it awesome=)
  4. If I go the more aggressive route ill set it up for running on AV gas. AV gas is a awesome fuel and wouldn't think twice about running it instead of race fuel. I'm very well aware of what its like to ride 100+ hp banshees. Like I said in my previous post i've been out of the banshee game for a few years and my last banshee was a K&T 10mil cub on alky.. full hill drag setup. I'm also an avid backcountry snowmobiler and I ride a 2013 Polaris pro rmk with a Vohk performance boondocker turbo running 11lbs of boost making roughly 265hp at 10,000' elevation on 50/50 Avgas & pump 91. I would rather run pump fuel and have better torque then to run AV and make more top end hp and loose low end torque. Redline do you think a different choice in pipe on race fuel would change those numbers around for more torque and a little less on the hp??
  5. Well I'm definitely leaning towards the 521 serval. I don't mind if it costs a little extra to build, I just want the best performing package for what i'm looking for. Now on some of the other threads I've read most serval builds seem to running pump gas setups. Is there any particular reason for this besides of the cost of race fuel/AV gas and a slight gain in reliability? I would be interested in going a little more aggressive on my dome and compression if I can get a "worth it" gain in torque.
  6. That is very impressive numbers. Definitely the kind of power i'm looking for. I want to hear real would experiences/comparisons though.. its hard for me to go on a builders claim.
  7. Wow do-work-son that is awesome! That's the kind of motor I'm talking about. What kind of pipes and carbs are you running on that?
  8. Ok so what does the torque curve and rpm look like with 73 X 58 pv cheetah compared to a big serval? Does CP industries still manufacture the pv cheetah cylinders?
  9. Hello everyone. This is my first post on this forum. I've been out of the banshee game for the past few years but now i'm looking to get back into it and doing another build. My last banshee was a K&T 10mil cub set up for hill drags. 2-5, alky, out of frame pipes.. all the bells and whistles. For my next project i'm looking to build a duner based machine. So I'm wanting a stroked serval of some sort. I want a torque monster, an absolute ridiculous over powered hand full of fun=) But I want.. TORQUE and lots of it. So that brings me to the question of what size serval is the best for what I want to do?? I know size isn't everything, its the whole package that makes these machines shine. I'm not looking for a pump gas set up as I know the more aggressive compression will help with my goal for torque and hp. But I also know that adding to much of an aggressive dome and compression can be a bad thing to. I plan on doing inframe sheears or cpi's and size appropriate carbs. All the necessary tranny mods and clutch set up. No corners will be cut. I'm looking for the best all around combo and set up to get the absolute most out of this engine for what it is.. a serval. 4mil super serval = 472cc 10mil serval = 465cc 10 mil super serval 521cc Now with the "super" cub on a 10mil (72 X 64) I remember talking to Kim from K&T about the added advantage of these over the normal 68mm set up. He said that the intake track was undersized for the displacement and not much of a difference was noticed. And the same could be said about the 14mil cub (68 X 68) But that was also on a cub build set up for drag racing. Is there a "worth it advantage" to doing a 521 serval over the smaller displacement options i'm considering? Since its not an all out drag racing set up and more an all around play machine i'm hoping bigger is better=)
