  1. Please share his number. I want to text him too but all I am going say is "You are a fucking idiot". not even going to tell him what it's in reference to or anything. 222 MPH.... What the fuck is wrong with people?
  2. It's a 9.5 hour drive for me so I need to look into camping as well
  3. Well I'm getting my freshly rebuilt rear shock back from Elka Friday and just mounted some new rubber so it sounds like I'm in business! Speaking of rubber, I mentioned this on the other post but, if anyone needs dirt tires to use for the day, I have some 20x11x9 nearly brand new and 20x11x10 probably 60-ish% tread on them. They'd do fine for the day if all you have is paddles These are the tires for the 9" wheels And here is a shitty pic of the treads on the 10" set
  4. no man, read closer - it has "duel exhaust" as in he'll challenge you to a duel! Hahaha.

  6. I guess it's not a bad deal if you're into stock. I'd just prefer to spend $3k on a 'shee with suspension upgrades or at least intake/exhaust mods. I didn't realize I was looking at the Birmingham CL. I'm going to check out ATL classifieds now
  7. I'm in. Trying to get at least one of my riding buddies to tag along but I think they're scared of all the big bad banshees since I told them mine was probably going to be the slowest one of the bunch!
  8. Elka put me in contact with them last week and my stage III rear is at Impact Solutions right now, hopefully going to be finished up today and back in time to ride this weekend. The guy I've been dealing with, Steve, has been very professional.
  9. clean stocker but wants too much http://bham.craigslist.org/snw/4588855212.html
  10. Damnit, link didn't copy... http://bham.craigslist.org/snw/4607758582.html
  11. Nice looking bike but not much info to justify the price tag. Just says: "a lot of aftermarket parts"
  12. My vacation request was approved to make the Badlands ride on 10/4. Looking forward to it and have 2 extra sets of mx tires if anyone needs them to ride for the day. Who all is planning on being there?
  13. I'm in Atlanta so the title had me all excited but can't find a damn thing on the web about them
  14. I bought the Kenda's only to realize that 03DMshee's are the Kutters and I got the Klaws. Knobs aren't as gnarly on the Klaws but still 6 ply and looks like they'll do the trick. Cost was only $145 w/ shipping. I'll post up some reviews on them when I get them in
  15. Thanks 03 / salmon. I am digging the Kendas. Found one other tire in my size, anyone ever try the Carlisle Trail Wolf?
  16. 03DMshee - are they flat like MX tires or rounded? I just don't want "bubble" tires. I am ready to checkout for $145.98 incl taxes and shipping. I just want to be sure they have a flat surface. Pic looks OK to me but pictures can be deceiving and those are 18's pictured too
  17. Fo shizzle. They drag race on Friday nights at Atlanta Motor Speedway. That's more what I was thinking if/when I get some motor work done and start making some real HP. I'd get stomped right now.
  18. May just stick with the wheels/hubs I have for now and upgrade over the winter. Anyone have any experience with either of these? They come in 20x11/10. The Artrax are cheap too $57 each $75 each
  19. I want to try and make it to Badlands 10/4 if I can take some time off of work. Half bald MX style tires should work awesome there, right? LOL
  20. Just a little update for everyone that suggested I switch to K&N pods and held my hand through the jetting process. I went riding Saturday with my buddy on his 250R. It was NASTY. These pics are the cleanest of the day because we'd just crossed a creek (which was a river on Saturday) on the way back to our trucks. The pods never gave me any issues. Jetting has still been a tad rich and I started to foul a set of plugs with all the bogging around in the mud so I worked on the jetting a bit more yesterday and I think I have it set perfect now. I'm running 25 pilots because 27.5 and 30 would not "clean up" no matter what I did with the air screws. Sounded "trashy or Garbled" is the best way I can describe it. The needle clip is on the 3rd notch of 6 (yes, my needles have 6 positions) and the mains are 290's with the mods in my signature. Only thing not listed is that the timing is advanced +4 degrees. I mix 112 race gas with some ethanol free 90 octane to about 106 octane @ 40:1. It pulls so hard for a stock motor. I have not been beat in a drag race by anything but 450 dirtbikes and a CR500 dirtbike although I've not found a modded banshee to race. I raced one other 'shee but all it had was pipes and the rider sucked. We even swapped rides and I kicked his ass when I was riding his and he was on mine. The 250R pictured is set-up nice for trails/woods with lager + 2 a-arms and stage 4 elka long travel suspension, flex handlebars, ASV levers etc but it doesn't stand a chance in a straight line. His buddy has an LT500r quadzilla and, surprisingly, it is SLOW. Has lots of instant bottom end power but doesn't rev out at all. I've raced all the 450 quads, Predator 500's, a bombardier 650 etc. but, so far, none of them have been able to hang with the old banshee in a drag. Anyways, I'm loving this machine and wanted to say thanks for everyone that contributed. I had no idea what I was doing when I got this thing a few months ago and this forum has been a big help
  21. Thanks for the advice guys. lesson learned - the 10" wheels are just not ideal for my application. I think I'll buy another 9" beadlock to match the good one that I have and a set of used hubs with the proper bolt pattern (actually only need one of those as well) so I can use the tires that came on it originally. They're not exactly what i want but they have ~80% tread left so they'll do for now and then I'll be in good shape when I have the funds to buy the right tires. I was planning on putting some money into the engine this winter and now I just discovered that my rear shock is leaking oil so that's going to be priority #1 now. Probably keep the 10" wheels/hubs/tires for screwing around on the street etc.
  22. Not sure about the bolt pattern. It had 20x11x9 wheels/tires on it when i bought it but I got myself into some trouble with the old twist throttle and smacked a tree. The accident bent a wheel and hub so I bought some hubs, and a 20x11/10 wheel/tire package from a forum member. These hubs are much larger than what was on it originally. I asked him what they came off of and he didn't know. I'd hate to buy wheels, tires and hubs all over again. I have one good 9' beadlock wheel and one good hub, which seems to be 4x115. I just eyeballed the ones I am running with a tape measure and I think they are 4x150 or something close to that. It's hard to get a good measurement without removing the wheel. I'll see if I can get some pics tomorrow Camatv - In all the tires I've seen get good reviews, I've noticed that the lugs are spaced far apart, nothing like the traditional MX style tires. I pretty much know what to look for, just having trouble finding much to choose from in this size that look promising. I think the iRazr's come in my size but I may be confused after looking at so many today. I know they are way too expensive tho
  23. Hey guys, looking for recommendations on all purpose trail/mx tires in 20x11/10. I ride all types of terrain but mostly hard pack red clay, rocky terrain and occasionally very loose silt / sand mixture. I stay away from mud except when it's completely unavoidable in trails etc. I have particularly terrible traction in the loose stuff with my current tires, the Artrax MXT, and they are getting pretty worn so it's time to start thinking about replacing them. I've read reviews on what people have had the best luck with, just can't seem to find some of them in the right size for my wheels. I am pretty sure my wheels and hubs are for a Honda, the hubs are a lot larger than the Yamaha hubs. I also checked the tires for sale section on here but it's mostly paddles or tires for smaller diameter wheels. Any tire advice or even recommendations for a particular retailer would be much appreciated. Thanks
