lowidenfast replied to 87BuickGN's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Sorry, just re-read it says Trinity. I was thinking of the Toomey 2 into 1 air filter set up -
Making progress slowly but surely

Got the rotor guards installed. Ready to beat the shit out of them at the group ride in WV this weekend -
wtb rubber boot for Trinity 2-1 intake setup

I'm pretty sure I have one. Let me check when I get home tonight. -
Yeah, the zombie stuff is kind of lame but I bought it that way. It was a really good deal and I figured that I can turn a profit on it pretty easily since everyone around here is crazy about the walking dead (it's filmed here). My plan was to sell it and get another AK-47 but it's been a great gun and I'm just not that motivated to sell it anymore

Here is my AR-15. It's a mutt, Bushmaster lower and DPMS upper. All of my long guns These are the professional pics from the company that did the cerakote job

Yeah, I would love to get one before the Hatfield & McCoy trail ride this month.

Cool, thanks Sandking. Nice bike too!

Does anyone know if this tank is "white" or "natural"? I am considering purchasing one but torn between black or whatever color this one is. I like how you can see the fuel through this tank but black might look better on my bike

Slowly but surely getting this thing set up to my liking. It had a lot of issues in the beginning but it's finally coming along and I've reached a point where I can afford to upgrade things rather than constantly fixing issues. I recently decided to make the swap from K&N Pods to Uni foam pods after the paper filters allowed some fine silt into the carbs in dry/dusty conditions which led to my floats sticking wide open a couple times on my last outing Now I am installing JDS Sprocket and rotor guards. Gonna clean, polish and re-paint everything while I've got it apart. My first attempt to match paint to the existing powdercoat on the frame was off a little on the rear hubs. I have since found a near exact match so might as well re-paint them while I have them off. I'm excited about being able to attempt some of the hillclimbs that were too rutted out. The old skid plate would get me stuck half way up the hill every time. Hoping these will slice right through plus, they are wider so may miss the crown in the center Next project is the lights. They haven't been working since the last time I split the case to replace the transmission. I'd like to do the DC conversion and run LED's. Last thing I plan to do, hopefully this winter, is to have my spare stock cylinders ported and maybe an aftermarket head with domes for race gas. All in all, the bike has come a long way since I got it and I didn't know jack shit about working on it, nor did I own the tools to do so when I first started. I have been learning little by little and accumulating tools as I go. I'm pretty pleased with my little stock motor bike. I'd like to say thanks to all those that have helped me along the way

Don't get frustrated man, I've been there and it sure won't help the situation. If I was near my bike I'd turn mine in until seated and let you know how many turns out they are. I know the rule of thumb with pilots is to start at 1.5 turns out - not sure about the idle screws. Hell, I can't even remember if you would want to turn them in or out to lower the idle to be honest. Luckily I never had to change mine much. I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable guys on here can chime in and help you or perhaps you can call one of the site sponsors and see if they can talk you through it. who do you order your parts from? Are you sure your slides are bottomed all the way out? They are in the correct side with the cutouts towards the back? You know they can't go backwards into the right carb but they will go in backwards if you have them in the wrong carb I found these old threads, too busy at work to read through them right now but see if any of this helps you http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/128282-wont-idle-help-please/ http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/173575-initial-idle-screw-setting-on-35mm-pwk/ http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/153486-air-mixture-screw-adjustment/

the 6" I'm looking at are angled. The part # changes to UP6182AST for the angled ones. Here is a link to them although I'd prob order through Summit so I can avoid shipping and return them if they didn't work for any reason. They don't ask questions http://www.amazon.com/Uni-2-Stage-Angle-Pod-Filter/dp/B001KO6KS6
-
I haven't, I'm eye-balling those and the UP6182ST. Summit can ship either of them to store for free. I live right beside their GA location

Thanks jbooker. What about 4" vs 6" filters? I run the 4" K&N's w/ outerwears currently and jetting is really good. If I ran a 6" foam filter, would I potentially need larger jets?
-
Thanks again Zilla, looks like our messages crossed paths.
-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.html/ref=nav_cart <-- look right? If any vendors sell these comparably priced, I'd rather support them.
-
I learn something every day! Thanks Zilla Anyone know what ID pod filter I need? I see some suggestions on the web that I need UP5182 which is a 1 3/4 ID & 5 inch length. It doesn't appear to be a dual stage filter though
-
Hey guys, been too busy to get these ordered. Forgive my "dumb question" but I don't have access to my bike to measure anything and don't want to order the wrong shit. I have stock 26 mm Mikuni's and want to be sure that "26mm" refers to the intake opening on the back of the carbs that the filter clamps onto. If so, that's roughly 1 inch and all I can find for 26 mm / 1 inch ID dual stage Uni pods are 76 mm length. That's only 3" long. I don't think I want to run that small of a filter Can anyone tell me the model # Uni Pods they are running on 26mm carbs?
-
And, do you have the carb sync tool? If not, get one http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59
-
Pilots are cheap. Do yourself a favor if you have to order more and get a wide range of sizes. When i got my bike, it wasn't jetted right and I planned to do some additional mods. I ordered enough jets so I'd have 25, 27.5 & 30 pilots and 260 - 330 mains. I also got the carb rebuild kit but really all I needed was the needles. Nothing is worse than waiting on parts to come in! LOL Good luck and post up your results
-
Hell yeah, you we're hauling ass! Nice video, nice bike
-
Yeah, this is silt then. It's just too fine for the paper filters. Gonna order up some foam pods before my next outing
-
Cool, Uni's will be ordered tomorrow and hopefully my outerwears will fit them
-
Yeah, what are your mods? Do you have pipes, reeds, air box, what's your elevation etc.? Sounds like you are running stock jets if I'm not mistaken. If you have any mods, I'd say you are way lean. Makes sense that choking it gets it to crank too. If the bike runs better with the choke on, I'd think you are lean

Sheerider - do you ride in red clay? Maybe dust is dust but I swear this shit is so fine it's ridiculous. Isn't the general consensus that foam does better in dusty conditions?
