  1. I can't really tell anything from the video, other than you need to get a kick start rebuild kit. But, if there is some knocking coming from the bottom end, I would pull off the stator cover and check to see if your flywheel has came loose. This last week, I was down on the sand, and all of a sudden the bike started sounding like things where coming apart in the bottom end. I shut it off immediately, drove home, had a couple beers and started tearing the motor out. My brother texted me and told me to check the flywheel. I was hoping to send it to cam at Redline, but not yet. Moral of the story is drink some beer.
  2. Ended up being a old school 8mm setup. Probably just going to put the cases up on ebay. Not sure if i'm going to build a 8mm or a 4mm setup....decisions, decisions.
  3. Lol, that doesn't sound good. Here is another angle. There is daylight through the cracks unfortunately. BTW, in the pictures it looks like there is a hole, but its actually not. Just the way the flash was bouncing off the metal.
  4. So, I bought a bike with the motor in pieces. The motor was a H.R. 4mm stock cyl, spacer plate. It had a piston come apart and ended up trashing the coolhead dome, and the case. Wondering if I have a piece of aluminum for the scrap pile or a epoxied case. If having it welded up would be a better option, I have several well qualified hook ups. Any input would be great.
  5. Hmmm, I've installed one on my wifes bike, and one on mine...both didn't need any mods. Post pics when you can.
  6. Who did the powder and how much did it set you back? In the next month or two, I'm tearing the wifes bike down to powder coat it.
  7. If someone witnessed you chasing a deer, it will just give ammunition to those who want to shut down our riding areas. Even if it where private property, it will still give orv's a black eye imop.
  8. Nucleate boiling and rotarys don't go well, espcially around the trailing spark plug hole. Atleast boosted ones. A couple extra bucks on coolant is worth the extra protection imop. On Banshees, I don't know if nucleate boling is a major issue. But what I do like is the idea of a low pressure cooling system, and the bike warming up faster. My.02 for what its worth.
  9. For what its worth, I'm going to run Evans in my bike when the new motor goes in. I've had great luck running it in my single turbo Rx-7.
  10. Lots of sun glasses. Couple hundred bucks in $20s one time. My buddy and I where on some trails, came around a corner and there they where. I looked around real quick, hand on my dull pocket knife, half expecting some guy to come out of the bushes, trying to jack my banshee. We got off the bikes, picked it up and headed back to the staging area. There was only one other vehicle in the parking lot, and we asked if they had lost anything valuable. They said no, and we went back out. Sucked for who ever lost it.
  11. No, I'm not joking. With the T-5s, and v2s, plugs were black and border line wet. With that said, when I bought the v4s, they said up the pilots from 27.5 to 30, and run 310 mains with the cpis. Upon tearing into the carbs, they already had the jetting I was recommend from two different shops. This was further backed up by other people in this thread, and there jetting in similar elevations and mods. For what its worth, I'm running straight 110.
  12. I just installed v4s and cpis with no jetting change what so ever. Bike runs pretty good. So, I'm guessing the above setup was pretty rich.
