  1. Here are some examples. I don't think it will help, but it might. You should be able to call yamaha. (800) 962-7926
  2. Been there done that!!! When the crank does fail, it will take your new pistons bore and head with it.
  3. Sure it does. Every engine can be used as an engine brake. Just be careful how hard you use it. Even saves the brakes and clutch when used properly.
  4. Can he shape them similar to fullbores. Or maybe make removable front and rear fenders. Lots of options.
  5. +3 turns wider, harder to fit between trees
  6. Yeah,..price & what they told me about them made me go with them over the 9 paddle Xtreme haulers. They were like $168 out the door. I emailed them led. We'll see what they say !!
  7. Being it is a coil, polarity should do nothing. I think Banchetta tried it on the dyno and noticed nothing.
  8. Okay, I'm not buying paddles right this minute, but I need to know what is best for me. All the searches I have done, people didn't really know what they want... I do. I could care less about turning at the dunes. I want to go straight and get there fast. I don't know what size, how many paddles or what size rim. I was thinking a 9 or 10 paddle hauler. 8" rim on a 20 inch tire or a 9" rim on a 22" I won't be riding the sand but 1 or 2 times a year. I may use them in deep snow so they can't be wimps. My quad is set up for motocross/trails at the moment but has 20" tires on it. It is a 4mm ported stroker with fatties and 28mm carbs (yes small, but they work on low end). Running 93 pump gas. I think it was ledofthezep that found some nice inexpensive tires very similar to haulers, but I can't find the post. Any help would be appreciated. This is something I'm not familiar with. Thanks
  9. Yes because it has to be taken apart to be welded properly. The inner web has to be welded as well as the outer. The factory does a good job of trueing, but there's always that chance.
  10. I would also add as far as porting, Vitos told me you can use his spacer plate and lower your ports 2mm to keep stock timing.
  11. If you look at how a crank is built, you will see it is simply pressed together. By truing them and welding them you can keep them from going out of phase and seperating.
  12. If you were to use the search function you would have found some of the answers. Here's the easiest... Click here to see how to fix the rattle !!!
  13. I ususally just run an impact wrench on the bolt to get the ball joint on. As soon as you start to tighten the bolt, the should " bite " and not turn. This will allow you to tighten them to specs.
  14. Reed spacers were designed to move bigger carbs back to keep them from rubbing on the clutch arm.
  15. I'd check the clutch basket to see if it has deep grooves on the teeth. It could just be your cable though
  16. Yep, those phillips screws suck ass. I too take digi pics of some things. I don't seperate and sort anything. I'm usually pretty good at remembering. The clymers manual is a must. One of the best $29 I've spent. Grease all seals and bushings with waterproof grease. Put a grease zerk in the swingarm bolt area and the the axle carrier area. Put di-electric grease on all electrical connectors. Check all bearings very well. Anti-seize is a good thing on aluminum espeacially. There are more, I just can't think of them right now.
  17. I pulled the petcock off and cut the stock in tank filters off. Then I added a clear in line filter so I can see what's making it into my gas without ever wondering if the trouble is in my tank.
  18. I didn't realize it was the air force. I don't know how long that basic is. Sorry. Good luck.
  19. You're damn right. I hate to say it, but it's his kid. If something happens, that's more dumbasses that won't be in the world. If he's good enough to stay alive and protect his child... circle of life baby. All these laws to protect ourselves and shit. Don't get me started. If people want not wear helmets and seatbelts then so be it. They can die and we loose one more dumbass. I'll wear mine no matter what the law is... AAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... why'd you have to bring this up. It just pisses me off people find anything to whine about.
  20. Another one I seen was If at first you don't succeed, skydivings not for you !!
