  1. Most places will give you standard mikuni pilots. Banshee pilots are unique.
  2. I ran 8 paddle 20" last year. I borrowed them minkia. I spun them all the time. That's before the 4mm.
  3. There are different boost ports. Some use them just on the intake directly into the cylinder. Jim has them tunneled into the transfer port area. Very slick.
  4. Makes since because were talking about the crank moving in a circle. They talk like it's just linear.
  5. Mikuni, I'd say 340's since it's cold, 27.5 pilot (very cheap for these carbs) and needle in 3rd (stock) position. Make sure you use the needle that came with the carbs.
  6. Well, as far as starting, you'll have to figure that out or give us some more info. Does it have spark, fuel, air? As far as the sprocket moving, you will see it move, even in neutral without a chain on it. There will always be a little friction there. Does it have a chain on it? If it's pushing the bike in nuetral, make damn sure everything in the tranny is right. Did you figure out why 5th blew in the first place? That's what would scare me
  7. I called vito's to verify. I didn't talk to vito this time but he said about the same thing. You run the base spacer and lower the exhaust ports. He's saying that if you take 2mm from the bottom of the ports and use the spacer, the top of the ports will close at the same time. I'd have to see it on a degree wheel. The open duration time will be high.
  8. Mines had a knocking sound since I had it. top ends been done 3 times and I've had 2 new cranks in it... plus the stocker. I have no idea. All I can think of is the water pump. I've also replaced clutch, clutch basket. Sounds like a plastic scredriver handle bouncing around. If it changes when you pull the clutch, it could be your clutch. I can only hear mine at idle and it doesn't change with clutch pull.
  9. That would be for the base spacer yes. I'm not sure about port timing and the head spacer.
  10. Hey mrmatt, spoin lives right buy you, I'm trying to go also. There's a lot of people you can hook up with.
  11. stock swingarm, silver lake sand.... whatever that is.
  12. I've been out there when I was in the army. We did testing and training in white sands.
  13. You have them. Stockers are fine for what you have. I'd say not bigger than 28mm or you'll loose that bottom end. Keep what you have.
  14. Here's the response I got back from them led They only make King's Tires in a 20" with 8 paddles. They're $139.00 on 8" wheels and $159.00 on 10".
  15. That is the height the carbs stick to boonman.
  16. yes have it trued and welded before you put it in. I didn't know the inner part needed to be welded also, on my stock crank they only welded the part where it was pressed on the outside, and they did not have to split it apart to weld it. That's because the stocker doesn't have to be welded inside. That's why they say the hotrod crank is rebuildable on the inner web. The stock isn't pressed together on the inside.
  17. Is that the one with independent rear suspension?
  18. So, from this we have learned two strokes do have engine braking because the air intake does get cut off allowing the air pressure inside to get all friged up. It doesn't have anything to do with compression, but air volume..... because of air pressure. We learned a little about diesels while we were at it to prove WHY we have engine braking on a two stroke. There you have it.
  19. I do lots of reps .... 12oz style. I've even tried the 16oz and 24oz style. You have to do those really fast .... or it'll get warm. I went to the gym 5 days a week for 1 1/2yr and didn't have much luck. When the weather was good, I rode there and bad on a bicycle pretty hard, 2.5 miles in 8 1/2 min each way. I ran while I was there 2-3 times a week 2 miles.. sometimes more... then I'd lift. 20-30 reps of everything I did. I started lifting heavy and up to 8 reps. Just made me look puffy because I had to much fat. I tried the lots of rep stuff helped a little then hit a flat spot. Kind of hard to stay motivated. I'm reading this post and watching it too. I'd like to have my motivation started again.
  20. That's the part I was wondering travis. The air pressure in a diesel will stay pretty nuetral. In a gas motor it will get create a vacuum to slow it. If that makes since
  21. I guess I could see that with those heavy ass pistons and crank dragging it down too. But, look what I found Click here about diesel exhaust brakes
  22. Damn boon, that's all he wanted to know. lmao That's it for jake brake 101 today. lmfao
  23. You should see the frame nyuk is having built. It's bad ass.
