  1. They use standard mikuni pilot jets. Not the banshee pilot jets. They are way cheaper too. About the same price as mains. The mains are the same in both carbs.
  2. I agree with shorty there. If you are running the big TT tracks with decent jumps you'll want to step up to zero pre-load. For the normal tt or oval, works are fine. Two of my favorite for motocross are elka and axis. Mostly because there built well and the companys will back you up. Also, people have used mini sprint car shocks. Maybe look into some of those also. Especially if you are doing oval.
  3. It's kind of hard to justify porting and putting in a crank if your motor doesn't even need a rebuild. When you say prefer dunes, do you like jumping, do you like to drag race, desert ride... What are you trying to accomplish. If you are pushing the motor to it's max already you need motor mods. If not, you need suspension. If you are happy with it the way it is, make it look good by buying some of that bling bling stuff.
  4. Does anyone have a link to that video of the rc that jumped that garage. Also, someone had some video of one jumping in a paking lot or playground.
  5. Rockymountain only went to a 40. Okay, I just called james lucky atv about some tires for pricing and asked about the 39tooth. They DO have them. 1-800-233-2637
  6. I says it has a piston in it. Does the end have a hole in it to create some kind of vacuum or somehting. Damn, that thing is weird. Looks like the arms spread out when the piston is pushed in and the bottom arms.. on the right when looking at the pic, would be straight out. maybe it was used to pull air out of something. I don't know What the hell is it.
  7. What....... it is christmas eve or your date is messed up... lmao
  8. Not even there 4mm are welded standard.
  9. I sure will be. I love riding in the desert. I was in elpaso for almost 3yrs. I'm in. Maybe we could make a run to vegas .. not on quads of course.
  10. Here it is shorty http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=4mm+stroker If that's incorrect I'll be suprised, but would like to know. I was thinking the same until Jim explained it. Then it made a little since
  11. think of it this way, a 4mm is 2mm further up and 2mm down..... so you'd have to cut the domes 2mm in the dome. Also the ports would be 2mm higher then normal since the piston is 2mm lower then normal. You would have to deck the cylinders 2mm and cut the head alot. Might as well sell the cylinders and start new. best way to get them right. I don't think that's right shorty. The port timing will not be correct. Jim from passion has put this on a degree wheel. I'll search for the post.
  12. LMMFAO... my birthday was on christmas eve. Your date must be screwed up... lol Thanks anyway !!!!!!!!
  13. Okay, if I don't buy paddle before then, it looks like I'll have some to use. One more $$$ issue not to worry about . Thanks guys.
  14. Nope those are Warrior shocks will lower a Banshee. ahhh ha !! it all sounds familier but i cant remember crap but good to know, thanks. I think someone used 300 ex shock for that to evil, but I'm not positive.
  15. my wife is ultra cool......and NOBODY will be giving us any money...when we have guests at the house, thats just what they are..i would be insulted if anyone offered us any money for a shower or meal.....but you will have a great dane puppy lick your face while you sleep and a 9 year old boy telling you his CR-85 will smoke your shee.......and probally have to play a little "off road fury" and "grand theft auto".....but the beer will be cold...... Jim, I hope your client works with you on the wedding . Spoin, if boon can't make it, we'll ride together and have mrmatt haul the shee's if need be. Or catch banchetta as he passes by on the toll road... something.
  16. Duece, who's the gig with... I'll have to do something about that... lmao
  17. When the time comes, we should be passing around cell numbers and gps coordinates for meeting. Anyone have some 21 or 22" paddles on 8" rims for sale... lol
  18. Thats what its all about Rod.....ill bet money that who ever produced alans album also did deanna carters debut album, wynonna's album, saywer brown and tons of the new country stuff that just kicks ass...country has come along way....rebba macintye has a better studio than I do...all nice new sonicly pure gear, looks fantastic...countrys jumpin these days.......makes alans little guitar ballads sound like a million bucks....if you played alans album for johnny cash or waylin jennings 20 years ago they would have called it noise cause it was so clean and pumpin and in your face....i know all the stuff that comes from mike curbs label is slammin......i dont like country but will listen to that stuff cause it tickles my speakers That's how I am too. I can listen to quality.
  19. Why would it be out of warranty already?
  20. Yeah, open that airbox up and rejet. He probably didn't rejet when he took the baffle out either. Very nice quads.
  21. Porting is an art. You can copy timing all day. Most engine builder try to measure everything, but there are some angles and shapes for flow that just can't be copied. That's why there is no "best".
  22. You need a degree wheel to determine how much to cut. Don't guess.
  23. The new basket should come with screws. You will need some red loctite. As far as balance, the are balanced enough for the job they are doing. Not much you can do about it.
