  1. I still have my parking break switch... don't really know why, but anyway, I have that problem too. If it acts like that I push the parking break part forward by hand at the handlebars so it pushes the switch. I need to just un hook it.
  2. If you do a search you will find tons of info. March 4-7th at dumont dunes california. www.roostfest.com
  3. I went to the stealership to look at some filters. All the banshee filters they had did not have a cage or boot. The 250r filter did. The mouth on that filter was way bigger than the k&n I'm using. The aluminum box uses the 250r filter. For the price I'm getting it, I couldn't pass it up. It was about the same price as a pro-flow kit... actually cheaper with shipping... lol. But, it is used!!
  4. Those are power core 1's. No spark arrestors. I have the same silencers... chromed.
  5. I don't know what the stock cage even looks like. It was that way when I bought it. Anyway, I've resolved the issue. I bought a used aluminum box and uni filter. That'll take care of the whole issue.
  6. I currently have a K&N filter strapped to a stock air filter plate. The plate is screwed and siliconed to the box. I've never had one bit of trouble with it, but have been looking at switching to a foam filter. It was suggested by my builder for my type of riding. Anyway, everytime I see pics of the filters, there isn't any kind of frame supporting the filter or a boot to bolt it to the plate. I need to know what foam filter will fit the stock sized plate and support itself. I don't know anyone around me that is running a similar set-up or I'd just see what they have. I've called several shops and they have no idea. Anybody have an idea ?????
  7. You can order them straight form tdr. The email you'll want to use is sales@tonydoukasracing.com. They can even answer your questions on thicknesses.
  8. When are you going. You could run and check out dumont . It's about two hrs though. Man I can't wait until march 3rd. I'm fired up about roostfest.
  9. I have heard the epoxy ones last longer than the carbon fibers. I don't know if it's true, but a builder told me that about a year ago.
  10. What tires were you running? Just making sure you were getting the power to the ground. Anyway, as far as power... porting and carbs.
  11. Depends on the oil. All of this depends on the oil. An engine is an engine. The oil is smart.. not the engine. Manufacturers design the oil to protect at the ratios they suggest. Oils are much more complex than they use to be. They will become more complex as time goes on too. I run 32:1 with maxima tundra R... smokeless oil.. .whatever that means... lol
  12. Boon, are you before the coal hills on the toll road. My wife is even talking about coming and staying at the camp ground at the amusement parks. We could let the wives run... give them some money and let them take the little ones I am in the process of moving and getting my house ready to sell though. We'll see how it works out time wise. It may just be the break we'll need. If we do come, we could caravan up!!
  13. I don't have jims motor, but I did notice some of that when I got mine done until the rings were seated. It was like a light switch was flipped when they seated.
  14. I say june so the kids are out of school !!
  15. Try this first http://kuoi.asui.uidaho.edu/~john/tips.html
  16. I had a motorcyle in El Paso Tx... they did emissions test on cars, but never on my motorcycle. Why would this be different.
  17. Those pics make me drool... lol. Since there is an amusement part, I may convince the wife and kids to come too. My son would love to ride out there. Of course we couldn't hang with the group, but I could take him near by. Would anyone else be taking the wife or kids??
  18. I'll get all three so they are together... hopefully. I'll use my name, yours and need one more. If you guys don't let me know what type of room you want, I'm gonna get all non-smoking so they might be close together. I'll have them reserved tomorrow night Fri 13th or this weekend. Let me know guys.
  19. BenBB, I'll take care of it. Need to know who want a smoking room and non-smoking room. I hate smoking rooms. Let me know.
  20. www.grandriverracing.com His website isn't the best. If you call him and tell him you have a $500 budget for a piston kit and porting... he'll hook you up. You will probably have to leave a message and just let him know what your thinking on his answering machine.
  21. Bump is just to get the thread bumped to the top
  22. I use an 1 1/4" on the sprocket and clutch if I remember right. It works fine. If that's about 30mm then I'd say for both. Why are you asking ?
