  1. Magic racing has the cheapest barnett clutch kit that I found. Here's the link Magic Racing Barnet Clutch
  2. I tried to email you Matt but it keeps telling me you address was rejected. Maybe you box is full or something. Are these shirts getting ordered for sure. fixitrod@comcast.net
  3. Well, that's a different story The head is threaded in aluminum and if they are over torqued a little or something they can strip out. If he took the cylinders off to have the heli coils put in, have the crank checked. If it were mine that's what I'd do.
  4. Here's a break down of the replaceable parts. http://216.37.204.202/yamaha_oem/YamahaATV...e=13&A=122&B=23
  5. Ben, are you going too. Damn, I need to find a way to make it there. Shit!! You guys waited so long for the shirts there still gonna be warm when you get them... geez.
  6. If you had metal in the crank case it very possible the metal destroyed the crank seal. You have an air-leak somewhere.
  7. Do you turn the gas off? Your needles may be leaking fuel. If you turn the gas off the bowl may be drying out. If you leave the gas on it could flood the cylinder. Usually hard starting shee's with good compression need a pilot jet adjustment.
  8. I want to know one thing.... Does his quad REALLY go over 100mph. Just diggin. Looks like you guys had fun. I'm downloading the vid now.
  9. If the whole thing blew off you must have coolant leaking in there or something. Strange. Coolant in the cylinder can bend a crank. Well, if you have it back together already and it vibrates more than it use to, it's bent If you can't tell by looking at it, take the bike to a shop and let them check it out. They should be able to tell even with the crank in the case... not with the cylinders on of course.
  10. Let me tell you.. setting up the air box was a pain in the ass for me. Get the pods. If you don't like them, sell them and the try the airbox... I'm dead serious. Talk to walt. He can get them from k&k.
  11. Here is a piston diagnostic guide by eric gorr http://eric-gorr.com/tech/pistonguide.html
  12. I'm looking for some DGK needles. They are the standard needle for the 35mm pwk's. If you have some others, let me know what you have. I want to try a few different types. Thanks
  13. Here's some of the bigger races. People should post their local races too!!!! Those can be more fun to watch than the big races. 14. Once you get the heads of the rivets off it will come right apart. You may have to tap the rivets out with a hammer and punch, but that's it.
  15. It won't kick over because there is metal in the crank bearings.
  16. That may be taking it a little far. Our police forces in the U.S. do a great job in general. I believe they are just doing their job with the seat belt thing. Now, the politicians and lawmakers we need to do something about.
  17. I agree, if it wants to die it's lean... if it sputters it's rich.
  18. Yep, saftey belt inspection points here too. I also believe in natures way of cleaning the gene pool. If you don't want to wear one and you get killed... one less bad gene to worry about. If you don't want to wear a fucking seat belt... then why should we have too.... just revenue like stated above.
  19. I hit the boss up for the time off again today. It didn't work. I'm looking at the option of just driving up after work Friday and leaving Sunday night. I think it's about 8hrs.
  20. If your jetting is rich, that will happen.
  21. Just so you know it can take a while to tune in a new engine. Banchetta wasn't super happy with his... not a passion motor... but now he has it dialed in. He seems to be very happy with it now. Test and Tune. Welcome to the world of high performance engines.
  22. Here, check this out. Since you work on motors it'll be nothing to catch on to. http://science.howstuffworks.com/two-stroke1.htm
  23. Again, on a two stroke there is no certain compression ration piston. Compression is done by head dome design and porting of the cylinders. Vito's makes a piston that may bump compression a little bit but that's it.
  24. Just wrap it spaced evenly in 2 or 3 places the tuck the twisted part really tight under the grip so you don't get caught on it.
  25. Okay, this is a two stroke. The head doesn't get the port and polish. The cylinders do. That is the most power for the money you will see. As far as the head goes you can have it shaved .030" to gain some safe compression. Do not bore the cylinders unless they need it. You won't notice any gain from the bore, you'll just loose the metal to do bores during future rebuilds. Advancing the timing is good also.. 4 to 5 degrees is all you'll need for the woods. What kind of pipes are you running?
