  1. You should be fine. That's the quietest a banshee will ever be
  2. So what was the campground that didn't mind fires and a little noise. We should all just stay there. Someone post it with a phone number. It was a few pages back I think. I'll go look. We need to get organized or we aren't going to be meeting very many hq'ers. I'll be in a black ford f150 supercrew with a big chrome fox sticker on the back window. Don't hesitate to talk to me. I'll know where some hq'ers are as I'm sure you will. It'll be the easiest way for each of us to find each other. Maybe the grey tape on the flags too.
  3. My corrected compression ratio is 9.45 to 1 at 192lbs. This is just proof that compression and compression ratio's are two different animals. And that's at 700ft above sea level. On paper that would mean my compression ratio would yield 16lbs higher at sea level. I got this info from a good builder. Don't ask me how. lol
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=43977 It's all I could find right now.
  5. That's the same thing the guys at Klotz said. If you keep it sealed up it should be fine.
  6. Not me. I do need to figure out what I'm doing. I'm going on vaction from Friday to next thursday. I need to figure it out soon.. lol.
  7. Sorry not to confuse you, I wasn't saying just boring out will give you alot more power (compared to a good stock bore), but if you are running stock pistons and by the looks of it you are, you should do a compression test first then see. If you are running low, get rid of those old stock pistons and get some high compression aftermarket ones, you'll notice it's snappier. There's nothing wrong with starting with a fresh bore, but don't waste a bore job either, you only have so many. Exactly
  8. at 12,000 RPM it might lol. Dunno the RPM, but I was paced by a friends 99 Dakota R/T... That's not an accurate way to do it at all.
  9. Klotz does sell a few additives for gas. Klotz is about 15min from my house. You'd be suprised at how much stuff they actually make.
  10. Exactly what I was thinking. Something is way wrong. Doing a donut puts side force on the axle and swingarm. You've got one or more bad bearings.
  11. Fill us in Turbo. How the room look now. How about the tv, soundsystem... wasn't there suppose to be a party too?!!!
  12. Just a note. Ricky Stator had a bad run of stators just for a little bit. It's not a problem now. Meat was one of the unfortunate ones that received one and had him going in circles to figure out what was wrong with his quad.
  13. I know this doesn't help the rpm question completly, but this will show how the different jets do help each other out. I do see what you are saying. That's why being good at jetting is an art.
  14. I remeber people saying the hotrod crank was suppose to be 1lb lighter than a stock crank. I don't know if it is though.
  15. Just cut 4 to 6 coils and put them back in. Holyman, I never thought of it that way, but it makes since. I wonder what the loss of pull when taking away the metal to what the gain in resistance is by stretching it out. It could go either way.
  16. An 8 pack . I guess we don't have 8 packs in the U.S. Anyway, it's worth a shot. Tell him you want to try it out first. Another thing to think about, your chain may not be long enough.
  17. DO NOT BORE YOUR CYLINDERS unless they need it for a rebuild. It doesn't give you enough if any power for the money. Your biggest bang for the buck is porting. Get a good builder to port your engine and you'll like it. Only trouble is sometimes it takes more money than just the port job like bigger carbs and head to make more compression or compensate for the port work. Compression should help your situation too. If you go to high you'll have to run race fuel. You should bump that timing. 4 to 5 degrees. You'll top out with a little less rpms, but you won't notice that. You'll notice more snap throughout. You can always gain from gearing, and it's you're cheapest A lighter flywheel only helps once you hit the throttle for snappyness. I don't think it'll help you get into another gear, but it makes it snappy and on the power now feeling. I think torque is something you need to pull into another gear. If all you have is top end horsepower and not enough bottom torque, you won't be able to shift up without it bogging out.
  18. Just wondering when anyone around here is going riding again!!!!
  19. And probably $6 to ship. It sucks when you order little stuff from them they beat you to death with shipping.
  20. I'm still not sure what I'm doing either. If my wife and Jason's wife doesn't come we may do like we did at roostfest. Rent a camping spot and sleep in the trailer.
