  1. It's a little to far out for me to commit, but if that driver uses the 80/90 toll road through indiana, we may be able to get some people to meet at interstate 69 and 80/90 toll road. I could talk to mrmatt and his friends. I have a couple friends. I know some of the people you have ready to go will bail at the last minute so there will probably be a few spots. We'll help load to save time. There is a truck stop right off the exit too. We could get the driver some breakfeast for the trbl Like I said, it's to far out right now, but I will keep it in mind as time gets closer espeacially if banchetta is going to drive
  2. Are you going to make any stops along the way?
  3. Black/Yellow it the light circuit. I don't have that number. I found the other two here on the hq. White/red to white/green is the pickup coil and should be 94-140 Ohms. Red to green is the ignition coil of the stator, should be 13.7-20.5 Ohms.

  6. Yep, sounds like the teeth on the shifter aren't hitting the shift star right. Get in there and adjust the claw looking thing so it sits in the center of the shift start when it just sitting there. Pic is from meats site.
  7. That's the way to tell. www.ronnies.com has them all listed.
  8. The only way to buy a helmet is to try them on. Get one that feels and fits good. The best helmets are both D.O.T. approved and SNELL. They'll have stickers on the back. D.O.T. are common but the SNELL is more severe testing. Just remember... how much do you think your head is worth? Keep that in mind when shopping. Don't buy the cheapest thing out there. Bell has been around for years. If I buy a new helmet, that's what it will be.
  9. We know your good to go jt.
  10. If you have microsoft excel you can use this spreedsheet from BenBB's web page. Just put in your gearing change or tire size change and hit enter. It'll give you then new speed for each rpm range and gear.. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/speed.xls
  11. Yes it will. That's exactly what you'll need to do with gearing.
  12. I think it's a great idea. If I were closer I'd have my wife, kids and me out there. Maybe some family members to. You could sell bbq and have free drinks. The hard part would be advertising it. That's key for an event like that.
  13. You'll probably feel like you are wasting money unless you have it ported for the stroker crank. While you have it apart, put a seal kit in it and replace any bearings that seem to need it. Use yamabond to put the cases back together. Anti-seize or grease the shift rod and ball. Wipe grease in all the new seals along the surfaces that are going to make contact with moving parts. Make sure you check your ring gap!!!!!!!! Hone the cylinders if you aren't boring them at all. Keep track of your parts. If it need a clutch, now's a great time to do it. Here is a step by step for the bottom and top that Meat put up on his web page http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/Topend.htm http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/BottomEnd.htm I'll probably think of more later.
  14. I thought that was only if you used their pressure plate. I guess I was wrong.
  15. Alky is alchohol. You can run high octane fuel with your carbs. It won't make a difference unless you are running a lot of compression though.
  16. If you have a welder you can just make one. You can also set a wrag between the gears on the clutch basket and primary gear ( I think that's what it's called). I don't know where to buy one though.
  17. Who was??? By the time I got my shee running right, seemed like everyone broke down. I know Rods shee was running strong the first day, did anyone take him? The weekend went by too fast. I can't claim any rights on this one. I wanted the title the second day, but Rods stator shit the bed.... OH well, Feb is around the corner.... It seemed whoever got the holeshot when me and minkia were able to take off good. With a -2 swingarm, mine was a crazy animal to ride.
  18. Some people cut their stator plate holes and rotate it to advance their timing. I measured my new ricky stator plate and 4 degrees was 4.5 millimeters. Just so people know. I don't remember which side of the hole you'd need to make the slot though. Dangit. I'll have to check when I have time. I believe it was to the left though. That would allow you to turn the stator clockwise. Just look and see which way the flywheel turns and you'd know.
  19. Just wanted to let everyone know that just because a stator test good with a volt meter doesn't mean it is. I broke down at silverfest. My stator did read bad at first but I found a crack and fixed it. It then rode and it died again. Brought it back to the truck, tested the stator and it was good.............. so I thought. Mrmatt told me he had stators test good before and they were bad. He was dead on. I bought a ricky stator stator. It has an adjustable timing plate with it for only $125. Can't beat that. Just fyi so people don't chase their tales when diagnosing the electrical system... Well, I guess if it test good you may still chase your tale.
  20. Here is a step by step that Meat put together.. http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/BottomEnd.htm
  21. You should adjust the screw in the center of the clutch (with the cover off). The arrow pointed metal thing on the left side of the case where the clutch cable attaches should line up with the line on the case. It's just a molded line in the case. Man, that's kind of hard to understand isn't it...
