  1. I've heard a lot of mx guy that like the quad level about 7-8 inches from the ground. Sag isn't a quad thing really.
  2. Let me finish off this box of Lucky Charms, and you can make all the head gaskets you need. LMMFAO, my dad use to make thermostat gasket and stuff out of cereal boxes. Worked though.
  3. Guess we'll find out. Some builders find something that works really well and stick with it. Some builders find something that works really well and then try something new. We'll find out in due time.
  4. I've ran them on stock cylinders and my stroker. For now, I'll keep them. I feel no need to get rid of them. They work great for all around riding.
  5. I didn't know they were that cheap. I've seen them in the magazines and was wondering where the hell they came from. Looks nice but doesn't mean it's good stuff.
  6. Here's a step by step from Meats web page http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/BottomEnd.htm
  7. We did use to take our bikes off road at trans mountain and behind some of the housing additions to climb the mountain sides. It was easier with bikes because you could just lay them down when you couldn't go any further, but I don't know of any dunes less than 20min from there.
  8. Hell no. Pay attention to that little voice that made you post this.
  9. I'm in now. Tuesday morning. If anyone is bored
  10. Wish I could help you out. I never heard of someone replacing the exhaust flange. Maybe you could get a stock pipe and cut one off then weld it to your pipe. I'm sure a shop like the guys that build the rockets has a flange they could get to you also.
  11. Have ricky stator overnight you one. $125 with the adjustable timing plate.
  12. Someone who will guarantee not to mess them up or they will replace them with new cylinders !!!!!
  13. Take a dial caliper and rotate the slide in it. You'll be able to tell if it's bent that way. Are they stock carbs?
  14. dirt hill climbs the shorter arm is better, any track condition its better, and you'll hole shot any +4 arm in any condition street dirt or sand I took my -2 with me to silver lake. I wasn't enjoying it to much with the stroker. Holeshots sucked. I couldn't keep the front in down while sitting on the tank taking off in second. I do run some mean ass paddles though. If you ran the right paddles you'd probably be okay. I'm over 200lbs too. I do like the minus 2 on the track, trails and technical hill climbs and all around riding and traction. I'm going to get a plus 4 for the dunes and drag races on the hills. Mrmatt was running a +3 on a stock motor and I had the -2. He was smoking almost everyone out of the hole on sand. I'm sure it'd be totally opposite on the dirt. He went back to the -2 when he got home.
  15. Just keep the ground close to where you are welding and you should be fine. Not a bad idea to unhook the cdi to make sure. I've seen a computer on a car go bad by not unhooking the neg on the bat.
  16. I think you did good. There is really no difference between the 03 and an 04. I sure as hell wouldn't let them get away with not jetting it properly.
  17. You're running 24:1... that makes the fuel mixture lean on fuel. Starting has to do with the pilot circuit. You're not going to kick it hard enough to make the fuel pull across that main jet. I've seen a pilot that had some link clogging it make it run bad. Make sure you have the choke tube between the carbs!! and the slides are in correct... cut away to the back. The cut away being on the bottom of the slide. Those are a few things people forget when putting them back together.
  18. Dave gives a 10% discount to all hq member. Like bigboybanshee said, pm dlnoss.
  19. You can pick up a kit for pretty cheap at most auto stores. They have a ready-to-install kit with all you need, except for the elbow grease. Lots of people muck up spark plug threads so they generally carry a start-to-finish kit with the few items you'll need to git-r-done The dealerships around here will put them in for $25 if you take them the head. It's worth it to have them do it for that price. A kit will cost you that much or more. You have to use the right kind of coild to. Some have it blocked so the plug can't go all the way through.
  20. You won't get very far now
