I've had that happen twice. They come out easy enough but then you have to run around to find a replacement. The spring will keep them in place. Just tighten them by feel.

I ran 2 quarts for a while with no problems at all. While running the piss out of it and making it hot at glamis is started to come out. Back to 1.5 for me.

You still may have a bad stator. I've seen it more than once now. Stator test good and is bad or a new stator goes in that is bad. If you have a good buddy that will let you pull his, try that too before giving your money to the dealship.

You could use plexiglass or metal flashing to build a type of splash guard too. I see a guy with a banshee in a mud bog contest with pods. He skimmed the top with paddles and won...lol. He use some metal flashing and built a nice splash guard and still had some water repel. Not something you'd want to keep hitting water with though. You can get the stock boxes cheap on ebay. Just get a proflow adaptor or silicone and bolt the stock plate into it. It's a terrible design.

I've seen that too. You can get a new one realitivley cheap from the dealer. It's a shift shaft. You may just be way out of adjustment or you bent it while in there two. I don't know if you took the basket off or not though.

You'll go through chains way to fast if you run a 12. I wouldn't go smaller than 14. Adjust the rear sprocket if you need to. I know it's not the cheapest way now, but it may help in the long run. You can get away with a 13, but I'd hate to run a 12.

I'd just get one off ebay like said above and have it milled .030. You can still run pump gas with that and it will make sure you are dealing with a good surface. You can also use RB's option but that will run $70 to $90.

If you go to meats web page http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/clutchstator.htm You'll see a pic of it. It is what your shift shaft ( the thing you use your foot to shift) grabs to change gears. It has little post on it that need to be lined up in the center of the shift shaft claws. It's the star shaped item lower just left of center.

Some people like a 13 on the front for trails. I hate shifting that much. Gearing is personal preference though. You'd have to try it to see if you like it.

Make sure the adjuster for the shift shaft is tight. The locking nut needs to be tight. If it comes loose the symptoms will be it shifts fine when cruising but It doesn't shift right when drag racing. Been there done that. A shift shaft doesn't cost much and may be worth getting a new one while you have it torn apart. Might keep you from splitting the cases.

Led runs them too I believe. He gave them a good name when I was shopping.
