  1. I didn't read the old topic this time but the clip wears out on the choke. It's just they way they are. It's not a vacuum.
  2. How about some mini sprint tires like hoosier tire makes. They do make different compounds to match conditions also. I went there and looked at some about 2 yrs ago when I was going to get into flat track.
  3. When you call, ask him what brand it is. I don't want to call and waste his time since I'm not buying one.
  4. My intakes don't have a tube and I haven't missed it one bit.
  5. What's up stranger!!!!!!!!! Anyway, with the dirt and water we rode through and those pod filters you had it's probably dried up in the carb. You could have crud in the plugs and plug wires too. It was a sloppy mess. Maybe your filter is still full of coal dust... lol.
  6. Any idea what they did to them from the seller?
  7. I had one that was reading fine and it was bad At least you found the problem!!
  8. Stock with a sealed airbox is 200main 25 pilot needle in the middle clip (could be your problem) Oh, and the airscrew you can adjust but I think stock is 2 turns out. You may want a 220 if you have the airbox opened up. Every motor is different. 190's may be fine but I'd mess with that needle.
  9. That may be with a sealed stock air box.
  10. Toomey does have needles. A think the toomey needles have 6 clip positions instead of 5. What have you done to the jetting so far?
  11. I'd start by pulling the clutch cover... Hopfully you find the adjuster tightened itself up or something simple. I hope it's not internal or you'll have to split the cases. Maybe the shift shaft claws aren't engaging the shift star. Good luck. If there is anymore info post it. I'm sure someone will chime in. Oh, and welcome to bhq.
  12. That's what I've been wanting to hear. Seat of the pants.
  13. If the clutch handle seems really soft he may have welded the ball to the pushrod and it's holding the clutch open. Does the shifter feel right or does it not click.
  14. I don't know much about the pc pipes. I'm thinking a 27.5 should be plenty if it doesn't have an porting or anything.
  15. Can you give some more specifics. Did you happen to just put a clutch in it or anything. That's kind of what happens when the pressure plate isn't lined up with the inner hub, but we need more specifics. Did it just quit. Have you been working on it. Did you jam on the shifter really hard and it quit. Does the clutch handle pull right.
  16. He just pulled it out of a huge assortment he had. Took him about 10min to find them. I don't know for sure.
  17. A plus 6 arm seems to extreme for just duning. As far as using pump gas... do not get more than about 155 psi with no more than 4 deg timing advance and you can do just about anything mod wise. A good top end pipe and a good port job would be the way to go for pwr. You don't want those t6's for a ported motor. Just don't go to crazy with compression or timining advance and you'll be fine. You can safely take .035 from the head. Boonman on this board can do it for you. He also lightens flywheels and modifies shift stars.
  18. There about $4 each around here for mains. Same for keihen pilots but stock banshee pilots are about $8 each.
  19. When I was at glamis I had both burn up. One real bad. A shop at the end of the road just compared them to some he had and they worked for 2 or three days more. No problems. I think they were 2.5 inches.. but I don't know the thickness. I'd think they would have to be able to hold up to a certain temp.
  20. You surely don't want to get yourself in a legal bind over trash like them. As for asses hurting... theirs will. What part of Indiana are you in?
