  1. You can try to flush but I wouldn't risk it. If there is in metal that made it into the crank seals they will go bad and ruin your new rebuild. A few of us have tried and ended up rebuilding again.
  2. If that's british pounds that's about $952.
  3. I wasn't going to be the first to mention it.
  4. bring it.... we need some people in here tonight
  5. Get a helmet that fits YOU!!! Go try some on. Every brand feels different. Make sure it's sneel and dot certified. YOu don't want just trying to protect your head. Bell makes a good helmet for the money. As far as boots, to each their own. I seen an ad for ARC. They look like a cross between street bike boots and mx boots.. very nice. I have alpinestar only becasue I got them free... lol. Stiff bastards.

For a mx track that isn't to big Suspension is #1. The banshee has plenty of pwr for most basic mx track. As far as suspension and shocks go... +2 wider on the front Wider axle -2 swingarm The best shocks you can afford Sounds like you already have good tires and a-arms Play with the gearing, then if you need more motor start with the motor mods. One cheap one that will help is cutting the head .030. You can do that cheap and will add to the bottom end.
  7. Holy shit those intakes are insane. What's the rest of it look like.
  8. Have you ever been to a drag race were they have serious drag cars then they let the stock cars on the track too. They sound silent after hearing the drag cars.
  9. YOu can soak it down. Your best bet is probably to fab a tool out of a big nut that will fit in there. Weld a socket extension to it and use an impact to back it out. Good Luck
  10. I was wondering if there is any slop in the ends when you start playing with different widths. I seen a lonestar that was kind of sloppy.
  11. I'll have one for you tonight JOhn Happy B-Day ya old fu(ker.
  12. My case save lets me go to a 15 ... fyi
  13. If you are going to use passion racing you might just see if Jim at passion can get all that for you. He can check out the cylinders and match the pistons up and bore the cylinders for you all at the same time. I'm pretty sure he can come close enough to that price to make it worth while and not have to hassle with a bunce of different people.
  14. The oil thins out when it warms up. Less friction, less creeping.
  15. It's 4mm extra stoke in the crank. 5mm longer rods so you have to use the 795 series pistons for the extra rod length. The hole on the piston is moved 5mm to compensate. You either need a spacer plate to compesate for the extra stroke or some head work done. You will want porting done to compensate for the extra stroke too or you won't be happy with it. Then you'll want carbs, intakes, filters, .. it can get very expensive once you get the bug.
  16. I'll see what I can do about that matt. Maybe we can get spoin and some others together at the badland or try out haspin.
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WD1V And here is a long travel setup for $1550.
  18. I saw this on ebay today and thought I'd post it. It's half price. Here's the kicker. Axis will rebuild them for around $110 to $120. Tell them you want them revalved for your weight and confige the they do it for free. Valving is free for life. I have axis and love them. Just thought I'd pass it on. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=4521545820 edit... you may need to pay for springs if they don't have any in the used bin. They will even swap some of used ones for yours for free if the have them !!! As far as they know you bought them knew... I don't think they care.
  19. YOu could just replace the with turbo core ( or whatever they call the spark aresstor type) or just add cobra sparky spark arresstors.
  20. Since you have the piston in hand check this page and compare... http://www.mztech.fsnet.co.uk/workshop/wrk_piston.html I think you got an air leak or lack of fuel in that cylinder. That caused the rest of the damage after the melt down. What octane was that sunoco. Was it pump gas. Does the other piston show any heat damage... even under the crown.. like black marks underneath. I think its the burn hole one in the pics on that page.
  21. I don't think castrol gtx has friction modifiers. It should say on the back of the bottle.
  22. click the hq chat link at the top. Were on now baby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. I have used regular house insulation and it worked pretty good. If you don't keep packing in there it's said that the machine can run flat on top. I believe too after my packing blew out last time. The cap came off and I lost the packing in one cylidner. I could tell the diff.... sounded faster but wasn't.
