  1. I use to think my shee was overheating because it boiled. Well, it didn't boil... it started siphoning itself. Here's how to fix that. http://kuoi.asui.uidaho.edu/~john/tips.html
  2. You know what opinions are like. I do agree if you want a drag shee, you'll need a top end pipe like the cpi, but for all around riding, the fatty has been proven as a good pipe. SST's are good as are a lot of pipes, but I wouldn't knock the fatty.
  3. It's a jet size about every 15 degrees. If it ran good at 80, I'd go 290's or 300's
  4. I don't live by sand and I love it. I ride trails the most and it's still one of the fastest around. 2 strokes for me.
  5. Good luck man, I wish I could help. Backfiring sounds lean though. Is the temp colder out?
  6. That sounds good. Did you fix the lean problem on the one side. That could have been a problem with the power from the beginning.
  7. Excellent. I remeber people were fighting to break a bead. I'm going to use this. I ordered offset rims before adding my a-arms and shocks. I want to put them back the way they are suppose to be. This will work great. Thanks again.
  8. I'm with who ever said they'd like to have both. I love to ride wheelies and play, but it's a b1tch on my banshee compared to the 4 strokers. I rode a 400ex and the z400. I like the feel of the 400ex better, the z feels like a kids quad for some reason. But, the z did have some low end pull. I'm not even sure why they put a first gear on it. With that said, the 4 strokers are good to ride in small places like your back yard... The banshee is fine in the trails. That's where I mostly ride. On the track, it's mostly about skill anyway. And, on the straights, where most people want to race you, it's about power. Guess who's going to win.... the Banshee.
  9. Hey dune-a-tic... I appreciate it. I gave Andy the go ahead yesterday. If what you say it true, it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'll post a review when I get it back. He said my carbs are small, but since I'm not dragging they'll create good velocity for snap on the low and mid. That's what I want for now. I may be looking for some 35mm pwk's in the future though. I just bought brand new 28mm flats before the crank went. Oh well.
  10. You could do a dukes of hazard theme.... lmfao ....
  11. Sounds like your going to get the same answer here too. I think alot of the clutches are made of similar material. The springs you use will make a lot of difference. I choose the barnett dirt digger. Someone on here said the EBC shattered on them a couple times and didn't have any trouble with the barnett. The pull on the barnett is harder because they use heavy duty springs. Banchetta swears by his duncan clutch. It cost more, but he says the pull is as easy as stock. It's your $$$. Choose wisely grasshopper
  12. If you just put the tors removal on it, then you may not have filed the carbs enough. I had to file a lot off before they would idle right.
  13. http://www.thebansheezone.com/Bansheezone/BottomEnd.htm Step through Meats web site and see if you missed something.
  14. Forged pistons are just a lot stronger. Stock is cast. If a piston breaks it tears everything up. Crank, $400, bore $90, piston set $150, head $90 (redone), etc. I'd rather pay a few extra bucks for good pistons and save the headache in the future. I believe the forged would ware slower too. I would ask the builder that does the porting. If he's trying to save money because the top end is fine the builder can help you determine if the power that's going to be produced will be safe with the current top end.
  15. Well, I hope this stroker really does add power down that low. I have mine being done right now.
  16. The good... wider stance for stability less chance of flipping The bad... shocks bottom easier you'll notice more bump steer (when hitting little objects like stumps or rocks)because the center of the wheel is outside the center of the hub your a-arms can bend easier on jumps wider turning radius more wear on the ball joints That's about all I can think of right now.
  17. Nope !!!! You hold it with your hand and the hammer in the gun will to the work.
  18. Powervalves will do that for you. Being a 421 sure has to help too
  19. That's how I do it, but putting it back on is a different story. Maybe a strap wrench somehow??? The basket may be in the way though. I'll try to think of something else. I'm sure someone will chime in with a good way.
  20. Chase73, where'd you get the crank?
  21. If you have an old clutch fiber and steel you can screw them together with one screw. Set it in the clutch basket as if you were putting them in there for good. Put a wrag between the clutch gear and the crank gear. It worked perfect for me. I learned that from Meat's site... www.thebansheezone.com
  22. I have all six in and it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I didn't get a chance to ride it a whole lot before it blew on me though.
