  1. Depends how far you go, how far your chain is stretched already and where you chain adjusters are. Kind of a trial and error thing. Usually, you can put a 15 tooth on the front without any trouble.
  2. The clutch may need adjusted at the pressure plate. At the pushrod on the engine (where the clutch cable attaches) push on it with your fingers and see if the arrow on it and the case line up. If not, you need to adjust it at the pressure plate by draining the coolant and oil, taking the right foopeg off, kickstarter and take the dip stick out. Take the coolant hose off and take all the screws out of the cover. You don't need to take the three off the water pump cover. Tap the case with a rubber mallet and it should pop for you. In the center of the clutch you'll see a set screw with a locking nut on it. Loosen the locking nut and adjust it until the arrows line up...(when you have pressure on the pushrod). Tighten the lock nut and double check. Put it back together in reverse order. You may want to put a little grease on the seal in the case where the kickstarter comes through. Adjust your clutch handle to have about an inch of slop at the end of the handle. Maybe not that much... I don't have the numbers handy. I'm sure I missed something....I'm telling you from memory. Oh, you may need to take the two allen screw out of the brake and take the rear brake lever off.
  3. I think you'll find it not to be to bad. I took the whole motor apart and out in 2hrs. I spent a whole day putting it back together though... I was very picky. Do you have a digital camera? If so, you can post the pics or email them to me and I'll post them for you. We'll see what people think. I thought my topend was shot and it ended up being the crank. I put a 4mm stroker in and it ended up being about 1300 or so with grand river racing pro port and head mod for the 4mm crank. That's top end ported, bored, pistons, crank, and gaskets. If you were happy with the way it ran, you can rebuild it for a lot less.... Even if it is the crank. A lot of people sell their stock crank in order to go stroker. If it the top end, you'll only have $200 - $300 in it. Good luck. It's really not to bad. The reason I asked where you were was to see if you were close. I would have given you a hand.
  4. Get your clymers out. Between that and the banshee hq, you'll have no trouble doing it yourself. Start by tearing the topend down. It may be the crank. If so, you'll have to split the cases too. You'll need some tools. Most builders are busy right now but I use Andy at grand river racing. There are plenty of builders that will do a good job for you though. If you have tools, dig in. Where are you located??
  5. Here's $125 for labor trinity Here's $50 but I have no idea who they are... Vinces
  6. BenBB, maybe there is a shop local to you that does cranks. I was going to say snowmobile places, but your in new mexico...right. Guess you won't have any of those down the street. Anyway, I think Andy charges $120 or so for labor or rebuilding a crank. We'll see if he contacts you. He's friggin busy to, but when he does get your stuff, it doesn't take him long to get it back. It's just a matter of him contacting you.
  7. I was going to suggest the same thing Duece.
  8. Since you're going to get another set of tires anyway, get some 18" tires. Turf tamers are excellent... cheap, lite and very easy to modify. You'll have to put a bigger front sprocket on to make up the difference. Also, put some 19" or 20" tires on the front. Since you're not going to be widening it, at least get it close to the ground and get the smaller tires for unsprung weight. That will help the stock suspension out some. From the way it sounds, you have the right thing in mind and that is practice..... all the money in the world can't make you a good racer.
  9. Looks like the exhaust side of the rings are gone. Can you get a better pic of the cylinder and a close up of that piston. I'd like to see the other piston too. Was there oil in that fuel??
  10. I was thinking the same thing flea49. I just didn't want to say it and be wrong
  11. I believe both of those kits come with steels. I know the one I posted does because I bought it there.
  12. I believe 104 link with a 14 tooth in the front and 41 tooth in the rear.
  13. Click here for a $89 Barnett Dirt Digger.
  14. This is a pic of Meats quad from www.thebansheezone.com. You can kind of see how the chain routes. It's the best I could find for you right now.
  15. I didn't go because I didn't have anyone to ride with. Anyway, I have one to burn. It didn't get as warm as they said it would. They said 47 and it's only 36 out now. Maybe we can burn it up before the end of the year. I have a buddy that normally doesn't work during the week that wants to go too.
  16. It was kind of a joke... my names Rod. .... ah, nevermind Anyway, as far as going from a 4mm to a 7mm. That will add 1.5mm in each direction to the stroke. To use a long rod you'd need to use long rod pistons and to use standard length rods on a 7mm I think will have to much of an angle. I think a 7mm should have long rods. With that said, you'll need to get your porting done to match the 7mm and another 1.5mm taken out of the head. Does that help answer what you're looking for. If not, please specify a little more.
  17. I think he's trying to buy some. He looking to not get scammed.
  18. My son and I had fun making this little vid clip. He's 10 and loves riding that little 80cc. I know it's blurry, but I didn't have my good cam available to make the vid. It's more for fun for him to show his friends. I thought I'd post it for him to show off a little. His Video Here
  19. Try this first. It fixed my problem.... the same you are having... Click here. Screamin, as far as your trouble, maybe the tolerance on the billet isn't as tight on the waterpump housing as it should be. Is there exceptional wear in the housing. A pump need to have a tight tolerance to work properly.
  20. Also, fill the lip with waterproof grease. I do this on ALL seals. Improves the life of them.
