  1. I read part of the first page but I must say, this is the immature crap that is ruining the hq. I can't even believe what has happen here. It bansheehq, not my asshole cause she said he said hq. I've been away for two weeks and decided to come check out my favorite site. It's like a bunch of 10 yrs olds took over. What the hell is going on. Guess I need to do some more reading.
  2. Oh yeah, I called him... lol. I haven't been on in a while myself. Think I'll look around today.
  3. I'l tell you what. I think those toomeys like a leaner main than that. 270 or 280 should do it at that elevation and temp. Also, sometimes when people think they have a lot of oil it's actually condisation mixing with the dirty stuff in the silencers dripping out. Since yours doesn't run right though I'm sure you have a problem.
  4. I ride slow wheelies but my engine is modified. Like I said, try jetting to see what you get. Why does almost every post turn to a bunch of little kids whinning on bhq anymore. Has everyone noticed a lot of the knowledgable old guys don't come to this sight like they use to. This sights turning into a bunch of whinning little kids. If I wasn't so bored at work I wouldn't even bother anymore.
  5. You just need to give it more gas or your pilot/needle jetting may be to rich to begin with. Try leaning your pilot by turning the screws out 1/2 turn or so. Also you can try dropping the needle / raising the clip one notch and see if that helps. Could just be a jetting issue. It is a 2 stroke and does react different than a 4 stroke for sure but you should be able to get decent slow wheelies with it.
  6. I bought a sun brand from advanced auto parts for 30. Read the same as Boonmans $150 ... but, when it gets old they don't seem to work very good. The little valve stem things start leaking and sticking. Boonmans will be accurate for a very long time.
  7. If you haven't broke in the rings yet the compression will leak past the rings. Run the engine a few heat cycles to make sure the rings are seated ( filed on the hone to the same shape as the cylinder). To test compression the engine should be cold, engine off, throttle open and kick until the gauge doesn't increase any more. If the compression seems low with a good gauge, put a tablespoon of 2 stroke oil in the cylinder. Re-do the compression test. If the numbers improve a lot your rings are not sealing properly.
  8. I had a guage that read 90 on everything. Get a new gauge.
  9. That would be great... how many sparklers. Just one pack enough ?
  10. It's usually through woods, mud, dirt, trails... multiple terrain.
  11. I have an uncle that plays 6 to 8 hrs a day when he's on. He tried out a yamaha that I'm buying for a starter. Inexpensive and sounds good enough.
  12. I would have put this in the wanted section but it says for banshee related items in the description. Anyway, I'm looking for a decent beginner acoustic guitar.... Full size. If you have something and we can work out a deal or a price please pm me with make and model. Thanks a lot.
  13. Make sure you didn't bend one of the floats. If you did, it may be running out of gas on one side. Feel the exhaust to see if you can tell which side it is.
  14. Depends on the porting and head dome size. You'll need to ask your builder.
  15. Have you messed with the parking brake switch at all. If it's okay, could be timing like you said. Maybe the flywheel isn't on right or something.
  16. Did we ever get an update on this.... bring on the pics already.
  17. It is an air screw that fine tunes the pilot jet. The pilot jet is used from 0 to about 1/4 throttle postition. For a better explanation of jetting see BenBB's jetting faq here -----> http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
  18. How's the guitar playing going. My daughter and I are thinking of trying to learn together. She's 9
  19. ttt Figured some of the new people would get a kick out of this.
  20. Did you take care of your flywheel when it was off. You don't want to bump or drop a flywheel or it will mess with the magnets resulting in less power at low rpms. Is the pickup really close to the flywheel. I don't know the spec but I make mine as close as I can get it. Maybe you have a week coil to go along with it. If it ran fine before, the weather hasn't dramatically changed and you haven't messed with anything else, it could still be electrical. Okay, just realized you did a top end too. Are the carbs synced, carb slides in correctly.. cutaway in slide facing airbox, choke tube in place between the carbs, float bowl with brass choke tube in it on the left carb. disconnect the tors too, the little black box under the left side of the fuel tank. Make sure the throttle cable is not binding or pulled where it splits under the tank. Jetting could be a little different since you, in theory, should be pulling in more fuel and air with the rebuild.
  21. Cool, I haven't heard about the yz490 fibers in a long time. They are different part numbers both factory and barnett. Let us know how it holds up.
