    I couldn't see how anyone could tell if a crank is trued, and welded by looking at it while being mounted in cases. I guess you could remove your waterpump, and primary gear.......cut/ rip your seal out, and look....but then your splitting your cases anyways. Maybe I'm wrong. You can tell if your crank is stock by the rods.#

    ^^^Agreed, but it's necessary. If you leakdown while assembly I think it eliminates a majority of extra work involved trying to do it once everything is assembled. Sent from your mammy house

    Sheerider11 posted a link when I was looking, but by that time I went with another helicoil. It will fail again I'm guessing go with inserts.
