  1. Nice bike. First thing you need to do is put a pingle on there before you burn it down. let me know the light brand when you get it home.
  2. I’d buy the DriveLine top end if I were you. Have them add boost ports, it’s easy hp. t5s are good pipes for open riding, if you really want awesome tq and low end get SLP pipes and you’ll have a real nice trail bike
  3. If you have the 35s already keep them. If not go with 28pwks and ass a Pingle. 421s are thirsty. there is no difference in quality between The two cylinders. Its hard to beat the price/performance of the DriveLine stuff. I would contact them directly and have them build your engine. They have the porting figured out and if you go that route have them add the boost ports.
  4. DriveLine or Serval 421. 28 mm carbs
  5. I’d have no problems buying American Star long travel. Have a look at them
  6. Go with Alba for sure with your budget. Their long travel arms have spacers to run stock length and 17.5 I believe. I think there is even a BHQ reduced price if you call them.
  7. I’m really going to try and make this. It would be nice to get more members from here. Lots of time to plan.
  8. Nice job figuring it out. It’s an older build but why sell? If it runs keep it and ride it. That’s a good starting point for a build later on if you enjoy the quad and want to upgrade down the road
  9. Definitely worth it if it needs no major engine work. A crank for that is 800-1200 alone. if your a good engine builder go for it. You’ll need to know crank tolerances squish gasket heights know if chamfering is needed or honing, know if different domes are required, etc.
  10. Bore hone chamfer pistons and labour your at 500. For 800 your into a DriveLine 392. Food for thought
  11. There is a lot of money in this bike. If your leaking oil and coolant don’t even ride it. Send off the engine and do it right
  12. VF2s if you can find some. trade up your 2 in 1 and carb for some duals
  13. Ohm out your stator. Swap CDI if you can. Cut back your coil wires and check your reeds for chipping then report back
  14. Hard for me to tell. I just went through this process a few months back and when I had no pressure in the lines I moved the piston in farther. I’d hate to have you re bleed for nothing though if it does t work. I rented the vacuum tool and it made all the difference
  15. One of the best guys ive dealt with here. Gave me free discs! Any BTW I was not allowed to send you moose jerky through the mail system. So next time in Cali ill hook you up.
  16. I’ve had to drain the lines to get the piston to move in more than re bleed
