  1. not meaning to derail the thread but where would be a good place to get a stator from
  2. That's awesome when do people usually start riding there Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  3. That looks pretty awesome. whats the deal with going there? do you need to know somebody or call ahead or kinda just go when you want to?
  4. just ordered this switch http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1195/-/223678/K-%26-S-Universal-Brake-Light-Switch?term=1290970001&SearchInputs:gobtn.x=-1126&SearchInputs:gobtn.y=-107 for the rear brake, i don't think im going to do a switch right now on the fronts, just going to see how long it takes to do this one and go from there. so for the power off of the yellow wire coming from the headlights, does it matter where i splice in or can i splice in on the right hand side of the bike right next to the air box right after it comes off of the stator? Yea i like Michigan allot although i wish i could find some closer places to ride, the closest place for me is the mounds and that's eh.
  5. awesome thanks for the link i'll take a look at it. i see you live in mi, same here im in st. Clair shores wishing i could go riding right now
  6. i have read up on the forums about retro fitting a older bike to hve brake lights, although i still am a bit confused. one i understand how the stock rear switch works and where it mounts, but how do the switch work in the rear if you go the hydraulic route? like this one http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1195/25925/Tusk-Hydraulic-Brake-Switch-Nissin-Brakes?term=%20127-559. also how do i wire it at the back brake light, and what is a good yet cheaper brake light to go with? thanks for any info i realize these are a lot of questions and some maybe pretty self explanatory but i need some help understanding none the less
  7. New to owning a banshee (or a quad for that matter) an looking for places to ride. i live in st. clair shores mi. and the closest place i have been able to go to is the mounds. any places closer that im missing. also im getting married and looking to have bachelor party up around st helen in the middle of march and i want it to be a trail weekend, but i am unsure how the weather is up there at that time of year. i know down by me it would probably be riding weather as long as there wasnt a crazy winter storm mid march
  8. so this is basically the tester i have been using and i thought i was getting no ohms but i think its saying 1 0r -1 like blinking. so i cant tell what its saying or if this tester doesn't go down to that low of ohms testing. sorry for the crappy pic im at work. but what do you guys think. mine might not be this good of a tester
  9. do i have to replace the whole stator or can i single out that particular circuit
  10. no the tail light does not work either. i took the yellow and black wires from the lighting coil to test them and im not getting any Ohms
  11. I thought that but i took the bulbs out last week and they seemed fine nothing shaking in it. i also checked for continuity on the head light and it was there
  12. Hello everyone. i got an 87' banshee about 2 months ago i have been dabbling around doing a couple minor mostly cosmetic changes to the bike ( since i am a hands on guy but need direction). so for the most part the bike is running fine and as far as i can tell everything is going well. the only thing that is giving me a hard time is the lights. when i bought it the lights didnt work and the previous owner didn't know why or did and just didnt want to tell me. so i have been trying to figure this out but im having a tough time. neither the tail light or the headlights work? any help would be awesome thanks
