  1. the screws on the tors are the idle.the screws on the side of the carb are the fuel air screws. on the carb with the choke plunger (shifter side) is visable from that side. . on the brake side carburator its harder to access since its only accessable from between the two carbs, under the seat. 1.5 is a good start
  2. Kinda low but should still start. make sure it has a strong spark. Good plugs. Choke tube between carbs is installed. Is a there fuel on plugs after trying to kick start it or are they dry? Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  3. cant be great for it. weed eaters and blowers run on 50:1 mix. (premeasured little bottles from redmax) so if he was mixing it as directed then it would be pretty lean on oil for a banshee. I do know alot of inexperienced 2 stroke riders dont warm them up properly also, causing the pistons to heat up and swell faster then the cylinders causing massive scoring. That and a lean oil gas ratio is horrible for a banshee or any two stroke for that matter. Think the manual says 20:1 but thats so rich it smokes like hell. i use 32:1 on all my 2strokes but i know some of my friends use 40:1 on there 2stroke bikes
  4. Probably since it was ran without a filter its sucked dirt, dust and debri into the carbs/cylinders causing premature wear thus having low compression now. Need to do a compression check but id guess it has extremely low compression now and needs a new top end. hopefully no lower end damage to crank bearings. bought one myself still stock that had a ripped filter. Wouldn't kick start but would push start. compression check showed 80ish commpression on both cylinders. should be 120-130 stock depending on elevation
  5. My bike wouldnt shift under hard throttle when my eccentric clutch adjustment bolt was maladjusted. Soon as the rpm came down it shifted fine but not at very high rpm. mostly 4th 5th and 6th is where it wouldn't shift.
  6. Maybe test the stator with a multimeter. here is a link on how to do so http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=133650.
  7. when you say frame must be modified for the 1/2" bolt do you mean just drilled slightly larger? Or is it more then that?
  8. He did answer that question in a pm. yes they were dune ported. I offered to pay for them, got no response. I notice the forsale add is gone now so maybe he changed his mind about selling them. So still looking for some 4 mill ported cylinders still if any one has any please.
  9. Had a similar symptom as you described, ended up being a small tear in the rubber intake boot where the crossover tube goes in. Couldn't even see the tear without applying pressure to the crossover tube. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
  10. Will stock head work with these or is cool head a necessity?
  11. Been drooling over this frame on http://detroit.craigslist.org/ for months now wish some one would buy it so i can stop fantasizing about it.. lol
  12. Can use this site http://www.picresize.com to resize them to needed size to upload them.

  14. Didn't see anywhere for a new member to introduce himself so here goes.(unless i missed it) 38 year old from Rochester Hills mi (S.E. Michigan). I know being such a new member i don't have any credibility or positive feedback to put minds at ease but i am a honest, hard working guy just trying to enjoy my hobby while being semi frugal. Bought many items off Craigslist or ebay. Even from some site members at times. I realize there are a lot of scammers on the internet, I'm not one of them. I doubt i will be selling anything as ive only been into banshees for about a year now and have nothing worth selling as i need alot still. I have however ended up frequenting this site often as a guest due to every Google search i try bringing me here and i must say this is the largest most helpful ATV community i've come across in my searches. So i figured i may aswell become a member and fully use the resources it provides. While i do research and read a ton i'm not a big poster but i hope to gain a good reputation on this site through prompt payments of anything i purchase and the occasional question. Again anything i buy will be payed in full immediately after we agree upon pricing.
