  1. what is the altitude where you bought the bike and what is the altitude of where it is now that you are working on it and riding? if you moved the bike to a considerably higher altitude then that may be the issue and it may need smaller jets then installed. If this is not the case it may still like a/f screws turned out more to achieve a good idle. Its hard to give the exact a/f fuel settings with out being hands on and actually tuning them and listening to the engine. You say it doesn't like to idle? how did it idle before cleaning the carbs? did it ever idle well?
  2. briefly yes, with aluminum plates right? I lost interest very quick though his cries for attention on the last page and his post about tires stopped me from giving a shit tho lol
  3. If your bike was jetted for 3500ft asl then when you moved to almost sea level it needs more fuel to compensate for the thicker air. You will need to increase the pilot and main jets. Also 3 turns out is too far out you should shoot for around 1.5 adjusting pilot to keep you around there. Opening the air screw leans the carb. If you have to be at more then 2.5 out to have a crisp responsive throttle you need a smaller pilot. Less then 1 you should increase the pilot size. At your altitude and mods I suggest you start with a 30 pilot, 300 or 310 main, clip stock position a/f screws 1.5 to start. Invest in the tors elimination kit w/idle screws.
  4. Are you sure when you mixed fuel at 32:1 it was 4oz oil per gallon?
  5. ↑ this, + the mods you have listed require re jetting to a much richer fuel mixture so if that hasn't been done that is the problem. the symptoms listed are those of running too lean and running out of fuel as well as the high idle which is also a symptom of leaness. Not sure where you live and your temp but cold weather also requires a richer mixture so all this compounded may likely be the issue. riding it like this will cause engine damage.
  6. unplug the tors brain, unplug the parking brake switch.
  7. you said carb as in singular? leakdown test! compression test!
  8. I don't think any one actually cares, you couldn't widen a vagina with your 2cm pecker much less a banshee anyways.
  9. More then likely yes, stock is 125-130 so its better then stock compression which would leave me to believe you either have a cool head or a milled head. depending on what domes it has or how much was milled off the head. But for instance if you had 18cc domes and you only had 140 compression then obviously thats low compared to the 197psi it should be with those domes at sea level.
  10. awsome, Keep up on routine air cleaner maintenance and maybe when you have a chance verify what jets you have so you can avoid future plug fouling. Also with that compression make sure your always running good premium gas.
  11. Well sadly if new plugs dont help Im going to say it needs a compression test to verify the last component of a running engine. Fuel, Spark, Compression
  12. Odd Bore size for a stock stroke, 68.67 would be 400cc's or 4mm stroke 66.25 pistons either being unlikely. if it wasnt stock stroke you would think it would have made mention of such thing. no way he has 10k invested in parts that are on the bike. Maybe he overpaid for the actual bike by alot and bought a few parts but still not 10k. Also it was ran super lean in order to overheat the headers and burn up the tank. Got to love CL...
  13. how about the plugs? were the plugs wet after kick starting attempts to show its getting fuel into the combustion chamber
  14. Odd, if they are showing a bright blue spark and your definately getting fuel it should start. Did you ever verify the plugs were wet after trying to start it? if this is all true then it may be a compression issue. seems unlikely if it started right up after Carb cleaning but it is a possibility
  15. They look awful sir especially the left one. clean those up or buy new ones. check your air filter make sure it isn't clogged. If its clean then you may have to look into jetting/recleaning carbs
  16. Just in case you didn't get enough bullying in school ETR174. Maturity isnt always about age obviously.
  17. For continuing a flame war on a subject thats been agreed upon would be TROLLING! He said he would go another route we admitted we were unaware. seriously what more do you want?
  18. nah im just laughing at the people trolling me.
  19. good point I've seen people mix it in there tank on occasion when fueling up mid ride. While not a good idea its possible to do so safely if measured correctly but always turn the petcock to off so the oil doesn't run down into the carbs clogging them before its mixed.
  20. who is they? Whole purpose of this thread was to help a 15 year old kid. I have 7k into my build so far, not a single part from ray. If you read the thread you would see I admitted I was unaware of the extent of rays scamming until links were posted. And then admitted my ignorance and was in agreement on the topic I hadn't dealt with him since last summer which was before I had even joined this site period. Get a clue. Some people on this site have such hate and unhappiness they want to spread it around rather then just inform others of what they know. Your comparisons are crude and far fetched. How does a "baby raper" even enter this conversation at all. Way the fuck out there I see. Maybe you've already bought from the before mentioned drug dealer cause your off the charts in crazy
  21. while the 07+ lever/master will increase breaking some also, the real upgrade is the calipers which are dual piston. I scored a set for $40 shipped.
  22. Take some pictures sounds like possible detonation tho. Or a foreign material bouncing around. Does it have a cool head? If so what domes are in it? what octane fuel do you run
  23. that its too rich. When you cleaned them did you happen to make note of what jets where installed? and what the Air fuel screws were set at before cleaning and what you set them to after? If its too rich it could have fouled the plugs or they may jsut not be getting good spark due the carbon. make sure you check to see if they are sparking like i mentioned before
