  1. whats the better choice? want to do it so cheap as possible. is the "do it yourself swinger" not that strong as a jl? iam doing only some, more less, training exercises on the mx track. perhabs once or twice per month. so i search a good solution for this problem XD Best regards from Germany
  2. hey there, i have a problem. After some round on the MX track my axle become loose. Its so, that the 2 Axlehouse Bolts are getting loose. With that i cant beat a race of 10 laps 🙂 Now i want to fix it with a conversion to a roundhouse carrier. is this offer from JDS a good start? and is there somthing to consider? https://www.jdscustoms.com/dev/product/banshee-roundhouse-swingarm-carrier-housing-mild-steel/ What Axlehousing set i should use? there are some good offers on ebay etvc.... best regards from Germany
  3. New Stuff!!! after a long time of working, family and so on i did some care to my project. at first i did some portmaps (not complete) of my jugs and im very scared about the bad quallity of yamahas production. very different port timing on the ports. see the pics and compare. note: the numbers are not 100% right an now some basic question. you see the pic with the cutted cylinder an the port matching to the porttunnel (big arrow). It is better to glue the section with liquid metal or reshape the sleeve port? in the second case the porttimes are very high? i hope you can discuss this with me ;-) URL=http://www.pic-upload.de/view-29063523/zyli_buchse.jpg.html][/url]
  4. Portwork is in progress. Actually i have no time, but this isnt The end of The job!
  5. did dmc a other material of the plating on the pipes? i remenber that the pipes were sold out for a long time and dmc did a new prodution? eventually the plating is really shitty, than i am happy, that i have a old version.
  6. my friend uses this adjustment: mains 280 pilots 30 needle clip in the middle air adj. screw 1-1 1/2 turns out. plugs are lttlebit dark, but the plugbase is dry. the right piston has some blowby, the left is looking new. i drive his shee an it runs very well, bottom end is not so high like mine, but ok...
  7. hello guys, did someone have problems with a new set of DMC 916 pipes? my friend ordered a new set of 916´s from ebay. he installed it an changed the jets in his stock carbs. after some kilometers riding the left pipe was overheating the pipes is change the color. now its complete yellow due the silencer. does someone know of mistakes in the production? some facts about his shee: motor stock carbs stock kn pod filter jetting via EGT - temps on half throttle 350-400°C (left more than right) wide open throttle 600°c on both jugs thanks for help.
  8. yeah i want to raise the roof of the intake. the piston override´s the port edge some mm´s and then you have a longer time to fill crankcase. the other way is to shorten the pistonskirt, but thats junky. the step inside the intake will be smoothen.
  9. The last days i Bad made The first steps. Now i want to widen up The intake ports a little bit.
  10. Ahhhh thanks for The statement. Yeah The pre owner did some mistakes.
  11. I did a port map and measure The exhaust additional with a caliper.
  12. I measure it. Measure The port edge to The Roof of The jug. Approx 28,5mm. With a porting tool i come to 189° The next stop is to clean up The intake. Pics coming tomorow
