  3. Welp only was able to pull the stator cover before it started to rain, and a good amount of water was trapped in there. Looks like i need a new stator
  4. The guy who ports all my buddies bikes and he will be porting my bike. Technically not my porter yet. But within the next month or so he will be. Thanks for chiming in. Im going to pull the stator cover off when i get home etc... 320 jets are too big at sea level for a bolt on banshee? The porter said it was.
  5. One plug has a bit more coloring than the other. But both caramel colored. Yeah it was. Maybe the stator took a shit. Pretty weird considering it doesn't act up on av gas. Think the timing plate loosened up or something? I have one of those cheap cast ebay timing plates. Im at work right now when i get home ill go do a leak down test.

So last time i rode my bike it ran pretty shitty weather changed a bit got a bit cooler, bike would fall on its face going into power band, when i would creep into power band it would rev out and sputter a bit. I had an incident and the bike took on some water. When i got out all the water from the cyl, i put some AV gas in it and it ran GREAT. Reved out perfect etc... NOW a couple start ups after the incident the bike falls on its face again i went from 310 mains to 300 mains then to 320 mains did the same thing each time.Also it revs out just fine in neutral but when i put load on it is when it falls on its face. Bike is all stock minus +4 timing, CPI inframes and pod filters. Premix i run is 32:1 klotz benol. My porter says it sounds like an air leak? What do you guys think? Going to leak test it tommorow regardless. What would cause a leak? Headgasket?

  11. Anyone got pics of how there CPI's go, like which stinger to which side and how the pipes are routed with which bends go where. I think i have mine right but for some reason my stingers aren't long enough to bolt up to where the rear grab bar bolts up, if i pull it out to where it lines up with the grab bar there is a good amount of space between the stinger and the pipe, its still slightly on though. Is this normal?
  12. Yeah im a big guy i weigh 230 atm. Don't plan on dropping weight so yeah. Also a bigger motor can be a bit more forgiving when it comes to putting down power. With a small motor everything needs to be efficient and maximized. Super happy my new tires came in today, got my CPI inframe pipes, adjustable timing plate, clutch, TORS delete, jets, all that im waiting on are reeds and next will be to tear into her. Can't wait! Thanks again guys.
  13. Yeah thats what ill probably do, now another question how much of a difference would there be drag porting a cub? I didn't say i wanted that build i just said it was recommended to me by someone whos had ALOT of different setups. Im not too concerned about it anymore. I just didn't want to worry about filling up every two seconds. My friends stock carb/ stock cyl, 4 mil runs great. So i was thinking about doing something similar but he weighs a good 40lbs less than me and our other buddy who usually jockies it weighs almost 100lbs less than i do. Just trying to be open minded.
  14. Whats his setup on that 350? ATM im saving some $ on the side for a nice setup. I saw a 4 mil hot rod/ 421 cub setup on ebay for $1500 and my buddy who's built plenty of bikes said with my weight i should build a 4 mil cub with 39mm carbs on gas.

  16. neckbeard What? No thanks rather just throw a 1 gallon red jug on a 6 pack rack then one of those ugly ass tanks. Money isn't the problem, the down time is. I work LOTS and LOTS of hours, i refuse to take it to a shop.

  19. I agree completely. How is AVgas even half assed? Thats the most derp thing ive heard all day today. When you run alot of compression and timing you need a fuel thatll prevent detonation, if AV gas does the job then....? How is that even half assed. wow.... Thats like saying c16 is half assed because q16 has more octane rating and c16 is not oxygenated like q16.
  20. My buddies only had an over ride, stock crank with who knows how much hours not trued or welded or anything, and not sure about the clutch but i bought a clutch. If having a stock trans is half assed then i have to let my buddy know who has a 4 mil cub on av gas that his bike is half assed. Thanks, wasn't able to call anyone yesterday due to work but today ill try to call everyone on my break.
