  1. It's getting more strict here in PA as well. It's always been illigal but now inspection shops are starting to crack down. I don't understand how 16 mpg is better than 22 but what the fuck do I know.
  2. They're like 70 bucks for streamline new, just order a set.
  3. And both are driven by 1 thing...money.
  4. If you're not putting a ton of miles on, leasing is the way to go!
  5. I have stage 3 elka shocks, they are nice but if I did it again I would buy fox. Just my .02.
  6. Well they don't have efi live for ford's so...
  7. I got rid of my duramax a few months ago but with bigger tie rods and tunes my duramax ran 13.6 1/4.
  8. To sum it up. If you want to go fast, duramax ftw! Dodge gets the bitches and ford's do work.
  9. Well it depends, when ordering more quantity price comes down. If you were to call a shop in my area and only wanted one set made you would be looking at closer to 300. Also depends on the machinery said shop has at their disposal as well. We don't even do one off jobs like that.
  10. Once fixed they seem to live awhile. The melted holes in the pistons was probably an unrelated issuie.
  11. Hell if you're too lazy to grind your own, they don't break the bank when you buy them new.
  12. I'm not saying they are all pieces of shit, however what I am saying that in all of my experiences they have been. If someone else wants to buy one, by all means go for it. As far as I'm concerned though I will most likely buy something else. I just figured I'd share a few memories so nobody thought I was biased.
  13. Yes rust. The bed is junk, rockers are junk, cab corners, the whole thing. I'm in PA but I've seen many other trucks and they don't seem to rot out as bad. My vehicle I have now is 3 years older and has 30k more miles on it (got rid of my duramax) and there is no sign of visible rust anywhere. The underneath even looks good.
  14. My dad had a gas 4.6 in his f150 (I know it's not a diesel) it shot the spark plugs out of the head because they weren't held in by enough threads. He had that fixed for somewhere around 1800 I think (might be wrong that was years ago). It then shortly after having it fixed melted holes in 2 pistons. Truck had 68k miles on it. My dad's 5.4 that he has right now has 90k miles on it and it's rotted out beyond belief, and starting to nickel and dime him. I'm sure I could elaborate further why I dislike ford's, but I feel like it wouldn't matrer.
  15. You should be fine. I've replaced seals where the shift shaft comes through without removing anything on dirtbikes, also the kick start seals. I don't see why it would be any different.
  16. I think our rate is right around 100 dollars an hour....
