  1. Was wondering if its possible to buy a new single connecting rod and be able to pull the crank apart and slide it into place or would I have to buy a whole new crank??
  2. Was wondering what would happen to the performance of my bike if I eliminated the boost bottle and what would I need to change or replace??
  3. Sorry man I know it will help but I currently don't have access to a computer and my phone won't allow me to upload a pic to here. But the connecting rod was black n the other one was a brownish gold color. Does that mean that the connecting rod melted? The crank and crankcase inside are still clean as a whistle.
  4. Yessir and the chunk that is missing I'm pretty sure its what is jammed up my kick. But How did this happen any one have ne idea??
  5. Ok guys I pulled the jugs and looked at the piston the top of it was black. The rings were absolutely fine there was no scoremarks in the cylinders the bottom of the connecting rod where it goes around the crank had shattered.
  6. So should I replace the piston and sleeve on the other side????
  7. Went out there and pulled both pipes amd metal shavings fell out of the right exhaust. So where do I go from here?
  8. Its not pure white it just has a tint. And like I said the electrodes are fine. If it did get hot enough to melt the piston wouldn't the end of the spark plug be melted?
  9. I pulled the plugs the left cylinder plug is milky brown. The right plug looks whitish pretty sure it was getting hot. But the electrode is fine not warped or melted or anything.
  10. I ran amsoil interceptor at 41:1 I was told on this forum to run it like that. It is currently shitty out so I won't have any details until tomorrow. All inputs are much appreciated.
  11. 97 banshee. Bought it 3 weeks ago the guy saaid it had the big bore on it. And running k&n eye filters I cleaned them and used protective oil. Did that last week. Rode it pretty good yesterday gave her a good riding.Wet fishing got back jumped on her fired right up no problems. Got a bit down the rode ran outta gas, pushed it back put gas in, fired right up no problems. Let my buddy ride it and I watched him go down the road and the bike started bogging and then locked up the tires and came to a skidding hault. I went up to see what was happening and the kick won't move. If I move the kick back and kinda let off of it and push the kick back again I can get it to cycle down . But won't budge when I try to kick it. I tried to pop start it and nothing it just dragged the tires. Help me please and thank you. The bike wasn't running hot either.
  12. Bought new plugs. Do I gap them and if so to what??

  14. What kind of jets are you going for? I only ask because I too is in need of some jets. I need something that will open up my lower gears. As it is now I have no idea what any of the jets are. I know that they are stamped with a number. I took out the air jet and it was blank. I dnt want to take out the main because its shitty outnand havent been messing with it. The guy I bought it from said somethin about jet but I can't get ahold of him. And cnt remember what he said. But it has the 80 bore and it performs very well in the top end so maybe it has a biger main. What other jets in the carb do I need to change and/or look at??
