Just recieved an update earlier. Hello , We have been performing durability testing and finalizations on the 38mm Cast Carburetors. These are expected to be completely done and shipping by the end of October. The 36mm Cast SmartCarb production will follow the 38mm's completion. Below is an update from Corey: "During last week’s testing and evaluation the cast 38mm performed very well with observable HP/torque gains; and when installed on a YZ250 produced a very distinct sound. Nice. The latest billets with updated float bowl baffling performed great too with mostly flawless testing. What we are looking for is bogging in sudden g-outs and long jumps. In the case of the SC it can be caused by one of two things. Fuel being sloshed up the nozzle by float displacement or momentary loss of venting caused by a tip over valve. Admittedly this is mostly for the Endurocross/MX folks and a large percentage of riders will simply not put there bike in these conditions where it becomes an issue. However the factories are very keen to this as it has been an ongoing issue for years with float bowl carburetors and we are certainly no exception. It really is a major safety issue, as one can attest if having found yourself in a situation where you need a handful of throttle and it’s not there and you wind up on your head, face plant or worse. Liability is what keeps me awake at night and other than the fear of really hurting someone or burning down the pits at some national event I sleep pretty well. So you get my point. The fuel sloshing is easily fixed by a plate baffle with a series of small holes to dampen the oscillations and provide a tranquil area for fuel pickup. The tip over valve of course poses unique problems of its own and the reason this type of circuit hasn’t been used before. We debated leaving it out but we had to be substantially better than our competition in altitude/temp correction and fuel economy. We’re glad we stuck with it. The internal tip over valves has required us to make several changes to the depth of the valve passageway and the surface finish of the ball seat. Last week’s testing was inconclusive because we could not generate enough speed to hit the really large jumps to see if we still had an issue. So I’m sending one or two to run Red Bull Fall Classic this weekend to hopefully finish the test. Other than that your carbs are being built as we speak and all changes have been included thus far. We are just making sure we have no other issues or machining corrections to make before we release and then have a big problem not easy to correct. Nobody wants this done more than I do so I appreciate everyone’s patience. Corey" I apologize that this has been a long process, but we are so very close now! Best Regards, Liz Harvey

Focal FTW..lol,, high dollar, but amazing quality,, had a 15" utopia serries sub, with precision power amp in high school.. Amazing sound high to low. beat the shit out of it, and still lasted 5 years.

When you say puma,, that a 250r?? How you like it?? Is it just an all out drag cylinder? Can't seem to remember. What kind of power does it make??

I seen at Walmart they are carrying kicker now.. I've been thinking about goin that rout. I need some mids in my s10, Pioneer premier head unit 2 12" pioneer champion series slot port box. 1.5 cube each tuned to 34 hz audioque 2200d(great amp, never gets hot). DBelectric(eBay) 220 amp alternator, big 3 upgrade in 0/1 gauge, and a kinetic 2200 battery in the back by the amp/sub. And I'm already over 2k into this so far. Most people don't seem to realize you need to upgrade your truck too. At least do a big three with any system. imo If I did it again, I would of just ran 2 stock suburban alternators. They put out more amps at idle than most of the aftermarket ones. and they'd probably be more reliable too.

Lol, I'd love to trade mine off for pt's too.. But honestly. who in the right mind would do such a thing. Unless the pt's are pretty well used up. Which seems like a majority of them are. Your prob better off sellin yours to help fund for a set of some new or better used ones.

Not really,, more than likely yours sits high because of them yfz shocks,, stock is 14 somethin an I believe them yfz shocks are 16 somethin.?. Idk,, Word is that they are crap on a banshee. most say get banshee shocks for a banshee. But yea, that'll get ya started anyway.

Reaming is making holes bigger. The balljoints have a bigger tapered part that goes through the spindle. So the tapered hole in the spindle is made bigger.. Still tapered, just bigger.
-
Don't really know how good, but they use tie rod ends off a geo tracker or something like that for the ball joints. So they're easy to get. The spindles are reamed out to fit Them arms. So if you buy different arms, you'll more than likely need spindles too. Not sure on width wise, think they made both +2+1 and +3+1. I think mine were +3 but idk,, I took em' off cause one of my upper arms were bent. Also. Them arms use a bolt on each side of the uppers instead of the long factory bolt an nut.. Ran into that issue when I put my fireball long travel arms on.
-
Yea, same ones,,lol
