  1. "Yes I do recommend duals, and not because I want to sell you an additional carburetor. The port timing and pipe effect are designed to work as individual cylinder units, especially if using twin pipes. So I really believe your best results will be achieved by running twin carbs. " From Corey last week or so..
  2. Thanks,, yea,so far I'm only in about 680$ with just the 1 carb an cable, an this second is gonna drive it up another $8-900, with the carb, intakes an filters. Hope all works out this time around. If not I'm not too worried. I do think they'll give a refund if all is fucked. Just hope to be ready for the LSOK ride,,,, smartcarb or not.
  3. I'm browsing for some intakes too. But I'm worried about clearence on the clutch arm running the smartcarbs. , I seem these on eBay. No idea if they're any good or not. http://m.ebay.com/itm/321389342412?nav=SEARCH
  4. I have 2 sets of stockers. In nebraska,, that's not THAT broke. Money is money,, comes an goes. Should have enough money for the carb next week, but will have to save up for the intakes. What kind of intakes should I be lookin at for the best clearence? This was just with one carb. In my mind it shoulda worked, but that's just me. 2 carbs should get it done.. Tricked2stroke has two,, but you don't see him doin anything with it.. At least I keep movin along.lol
  5. Yea, yea,, you quiet them chins up..lmao,, I know,, but at 600 a week with bills , family,an shit. its gonna take me a little while to save up that kind of money. Figured I'd try the rods first cause that's what Corey suggested.
  6. Well, it wasn't a mixup, that's what they're suppose to be. Lol, Here's a vid from today with the 76 mr. Terrible. Smh. Mabey it'll work on my cr. prob try that this weekend. An put a set of stockers on the banshee.
  7. Well,, after two weeks of waiting for them to finally send out the richer mr's, I think he sent the wrong ones. Cause the ones he sent are longer than the one that was in it. Tried them out just to see. An sure enough, they made the problem worse(figured). Barely be able to pull through the midrange during wot. I'm about on wits end with these people, lol,, hopefully it was just a mixup. But I clearly stated that I had a 36mm billet.. If its not a mixup.. I'm definatly gonna try to get my money back...
  8. So what's the skinny on the slp? I seen they did great on jd's stock cylinder. How would they do on a serval?
  9. I'm only running one carb. Its a whole different topend then I had before. I had a trinity motor with big compresion that needed some attention. Wanted to run pump, so I picked these off of a member here to get rid of trinity.lol 150# kicking compression with a solid leakdown test. New vf4 reeds too.( thought Mabey my old vf2 where weak). so all should be good in that sense.
  10. I've thought about it,, lol, but I'm gonna give it a chance yet. If this doesn't work out. I'll be goin to stock carbs.lol Should throw it on my cr250r an see how it does.. hmmm,
  11. Well,, got the bike out today again. Finally my toe is feeling a little bit better.. Leaned it down some an it did help with the off idle. But didn't help with it getting it on the pipe in the midrange. If I roll the throttle it's not so bad, so I turned it back up. Roughly 55 clicks from full rich. now that I can actually ride it real aggressively. It's not workin out so great. Basically, lets say I'm goin for the hole shot.. Rev it out through 4 gears, let off, shift down to 3rd to keep rpms up, pin it to slide the corner an it has no balls, an sorta cuttin out./ won't rev any higher. I believe I need a richer needle, but not entirely sure. I emailed them asking what there thoughts where. An if anything in my setup would be throwing the carb off.
  12. Bought flywheel, stator, and stuff. Shipped in a timely fashion, and everything is just as described. No complaints from me. Thanks.
  13. Where you at in nebraska? Might be interested in some stuff if they're in good shape.
  14. Yea yea,, lol,, we were a small town used car dealer. But now days its damn near impossible to make a living doing that anymore. Unless you're a big time dealer. Slowly getting shit stripped out an hauled away. I actually leaned it out a couple clicks in the video. An did help somewhat with the smoothness off idle. Getting closer. I'm just happy to be able to ride again. Wish I'd quit hurting myself at work.lol
  15. Lol as in poorly done. I just shoved my phone in the fender.
  16. Here's a shittily made video. Lol,
  17. Nice.. I would definatly be interested in the yellow hood an rear fenders if they're in decent shape.
  18. It works..lol, was lean, i richined it up bout 10-15 "clicks".. Then I was rich, so now I'm slowly clickin it back leaner.. And keeps getting better.. I fucked my finger up at work. So I haven't had a chance to take it on its 3rd ride yet. I can't really give a solid answer on how it performs cause I never ran the pwk on this set of cylinders. But so far, all is well. Definitely better than my ol' 215# comp. trinity motor with the pwk. - overall design, - how close it actually was out of the box - starts easy. - real easy to make adjustments. - polishes up easy - I like that it has Allen head bolts over the soft Phillips heads. - still contemplating if I like the easy tension or not,, its nice when rideing. But does seem like it wouldn't take much to get hung up. Overall I'm happy with it.
  19. Got it out today. At first it definatly seemed lean, had a flat spot before it'd take off. Been clicking it richer, and its getting better. Still have to mess with it alittle more. Revs out great. Plenty of power. Did a plug chop in the mist of things. Plugs I was running on. Were new. Sure was fun to just get out and ride. Been waitin forever.lol. Things I didn't like. -Fuel inlit is pretty short. Cast ones look longer though -The way the cable hooks in the slide. - kinda wish the tension was a little stronger. - wish there was a way to have an overflow Incase the float wasn't sealing. Definitely would love to get it on a dyno to see the a/f curve. I'm pretty curious.
  20. X2,, the msr's do work good, and the adjustable on the fly is nice.
  21. I have to squeeze it out of that door first, to get it out.lol real tight fit with it on its side
  22. Not sure,, gotta do Easter stuff this weekend. Mabey sometime this week, but more than likely next weekend..
