  1. Well if money is no problem order it from eBay! Anybody that installs a jet kit in there bike is a fucking idiot. There is no "kit" that will work for all bikes. As sprinklerman said keep you stock needles and order whatever you need for pilots and mains.
  2. I didn't realize there was a price difference until I just looked. I will add some cash if necessary.
  3. Decided to start a new thread with pics. Please pm if you have a set you would like to trade. These pipes and tight trails are not going to work for me. They looked rough before I cleaned them up. Here are before and after pics. Clutch cover not included.
  4. This thing would be awesome in open area. I just think they are the wrong pipes for tight technical trails. So anybody want to trade some pt mids for them?
  5. When you say turned up air fuel mixture screws does that mean you turned them out?
  6. I keep reading how the t6's don't like porting. I think I will just keep them or hold out for some pt mids.
  7. Nah. I think I'll just hold on to the t5's and try some other tuning/gearing. From what people are saying I wont notice a difference on bottom end going from t5's to a different pipe.
  8. Well it sounds like the pipes are fine and I just need to fine tune other aspects of the bike. I played with the dynatek timing some. It seemed to make the hit harder and not offer any more bottom end. I will play with gearing and get the jetting dialed in and see where I'm at. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
  9. Well the only reason I was considering going up a size is because when the weather gets cold I will have to close them some. Not much room to work with at .5 turns out.
  10. My bike isn't jetted perfect yet, but it's close. Just feels like there is no bottom end then I get smacked in the face with the power band. Runs excellent up top, just needs a little more down low. Jetting is below. I have tested the motor and it's air tight. 27.5's .5 out on air screw. Ordered some 30's. Starts to get a lean bog off idle if I back it out. Stock needles, middle slot 310 mains. Haven't plugged chopped yet
  11. It's not completely dialed in yet. I want to break the motor in a little better before plug chopping. I'm at sea level. Jetting is 27.5's, .5 tuns on air screw, stock needles middle slot, ans 310 mains. Air tight motor. I ordered 30 pilots I had the air screw set at 1.5 and it had a lean bog off idle. Feels pretty cose, but not dead on.
  12. Thanks Johnny. I think I figured it out though. I took it out for the first time yesterday and did some tuning. I still have the 27.5 pilots in with the air screw out .5 turns. I'll be putting in 30's soon. I know how to jet carbs, but this had me stumped. Usually if the air screw has no effect the pilot is way off in either direction. I think what happened was when I first fired it up I had the slides in backwards. After I realized it and fixed them the pilots have have been loaded up. So the first time I tried to take off I had a really bad lean bog. I had them set at 1.5 turns out. All good now. Motor is air tight btw. Thanks again.
  13. Well if they don't get much more friendly than t5's I guess I'll just have to hold on to them. I have been reading on here that they are a mid - top pipe.
  14. I just took my banshee for it's first ride. I have t5's, trail ported cylinders, vf4's, boss intake, cfm airbox with k&n filters, cool head 22cc domes, and a dynatek ign and stock carbs. The bike runs amazing, but has a light switch powerband. Not the best set up for the trails I ride. I have read a lot of info on here and it seems I should be looking for some pc's, pt mids, dmc, and fmf. What pipes would suit me the best with this setup? I just put an ad in the swap section if anybody is interested.
  15. Possibly looking to trade my chrome t5 pipes for something that offers more bottom end. I just broke my motor in and not a huge fan of te light swich powerband. I ride tight trails. Not looking for any 2 into 1 pipes. Leaning towards pc, pt mids, or dmc. Pm if interested. Thanks.
  16. Are pilot jets banshee specific? This says that they are. I thought a pilot for a mikuni vm 26 would be fine. http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html
  17. Just went out there and messed with it some more. I think I'm to rich with the 27.5 pilots. Bike starts first kick, idles good, and has normal smoke. When I pull the choke out halfway it gets worse! Should I order some 25 pilots?

  19. I'm having a similar issue. I can't get the airscrews to have any effect on the motor. T5's, vf4's, ported cylinders, cfm airbox with k&n's, and boss intake. Ride at sea level. 27.5 pilots in right now and the air screw does nothing.
