  1. When you say carb over flowed are you saying that the carb bowl is overflowing out of the vent or the engine is now flooded from trying to start it repeatedly? If the engine is flooded pull your plugs, hold throttle wide open, kick over a few times, replace plugs with new NGK BR8ES plugs, kick over full choke no throttle, should run. If carbs are overflowing out of the bowls when the fuel is on then you need to pull carbs and clean them. Check float needles and seats, set float height.
  2. I had a weak stator and my shee wouldnt start. Still had spark that looked decent, just wouldnt start. Changed the stator and it runs perfect. Seems like if it was ignition the bike would start hard or run rough throughout. Are you sure its not a mechanical carb issue or poor jetting? have you cleaned the air filter?
  3. Im at the same elevation and I run DMC916, open airbox, vf3 reeds, +4 timing. I run 30 pilots and 330 mains in the winter and 27.5 pilots 310 main in the summer. I would definately start with 27.5 pilots and probly around 300 mains. I always try to start rich and work back, much safer that way. Main jets are cheap, buy a bunch of different sizes so you can fine tune.
  4. Did a couple searches and couldnt find much about these tires here. I am looking at the Nanco Dirt Track N606. They look like holeshots but are 120 a pair brand new shipped on ebay. Just wondering if anyone has run these and how they held up. I tried to post a pic but it was too big to upload.
  5. I have 916s. Love 'em. Good power all the way through. Better low/mid than my old pc platinums and waaaay better top. They sound and look amazing also. I dont have enough motor work yet for shearers, so these are working excellent right now.
  6. Im sure Matt will get back to you. I sent him a pm a while back and it took a week or so to hear back. He seems busy, but he did get back to me and told me to hit up his site and print an order form off. Just fill it out and mail everything to him. I am having him do my shocks, everyone on here raves about the quality of his work.
  7. Have you had the pilot jets out and cleaned them? They can clog very easy
  8. Have you tried to idle it up with the idle screws or tried adjusting the air screw?
  9. I had a stator ohm out fine but still had weak spark. Tried swapping everything one at a time (cdi, coil & wires, stator) and it ended up being the stator. It acted similar to your issue. Swapped the stator & started 2nd kick. Not saying thats what it is, but worth a try if you have an extra stator laying around.
  10. Did you clean the carbs before you reinstalled them? Do you have tors or have they been eliminated?
  11. I had trouble with mine starting. It ended up being weak spark due to a bad stator. I put a spare stator in it and set the pick-up coil gap. Good to go.

  13. Sounds like the choke crossover tube to me too. I forgot to hook mine back up the first time I cleaned my carbs and it did the same thing
