  1. I looked through CCI and V-twin Manufacturing and found nothing that small. Nightmare, are yours 1" OD?
  2. CPI and Shearer are both 1 1/8" OD cores. Shearer said not to run the 1" with my 421 serval. So I think I'll cut them open and machine for the larger.
  3. I need 2 Original Rocket silencer cores. They are 12.5" long and 1" OD. Any other brand work? Where would I call?
  4. That'd be a 3M Scotchlock, it will work, but when your bike acts up, check that first.
  5. The black/white wire kills the motor when grounded, I can't imagine it would be a good idea to hook the green/yellow park brake wire to it.
  6. The carb slide has a small ramp on it already for the idle screw. It will be very evident when you buy the kit and get them apart.

  8. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135591 The carb bodies are very soft, very easy to file by hand, and easy to drill and tap. Be sure to stick a piece of wood or something in the carb when you drill so you don't go thru and hit the other side.
  9. If I'm gonna ride Easter, I need to get outta this chair. But damn it's cold out.

  10. Post up the pics...87 j arm - 96 A arm. I'd hope for it to be a 96, just cuz an 87 is OLD, unless it's REALLY nice. Here's what I look for, bolts and nuts that are rounded off or broken, if a guy doesn't have the right hand tools for basic maintenance, it probably has had NO maintenance. If you plan to night ride see if the lights are not broken off, just more immediate expense same with sprockets, tires, brakes. All that to determine initial cost.
  11. <<<< Something against purple and yellow? That's some retro cool shit right there...
  12. Nothing wrong with the stock needle,IMO. Carb slides and bowls are side specific. The slides will go in the wrong carb backwards, and the left bowl is drilled for a choke jet so it has the BB stuck in the hole on the outer bottom.
  13. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=170 Link to an idler gear bushing, I pressed the old one out using the new one going in, with a bench vise.
  14. If you got good spark and dry plugs, and has been sitting, is the screen on petcock gunked up?
  15. Kill switch black/white should only be grounded to kill it. Make sure the black wire bullet connecter coming from the stator is hooked up.
  16. If you have NO key switch, be sure the red/black and black wires are tied together that used to go to it.

  18. your screws should look like these, 8 points. They make a special bit, but a square bit works just fine.
  19. One of mine too, more than pleased. Fast turn around.
  20. Good lookin' bike ya got there... (could sure use a flamed stator cover)
  21. For those of you that can't put a tie down strap on your bike, measure, and stand back and look.... LOL
