  1. I put 4 dampers on mine, couldn't see where it could hurt. (didn't see where the factory 2 could help)
  2. understood, but it will still evaporate in the carbs and clog shit faster.
  3. anybody have an excellent OEM flywheel for sale? or want a lightened one?
  4. Yeah, not a fan of the lightened flywheel, but crap, everyone on here has been asking for a good flywheel in the last couple of months. I just checked Ebay, obviously, my idea of "excellent condition" is very different from theirs.
  5. One dune trip, my 3 four strokes popped lean on the top end, my 2 strokes had noticeable increase in EGT and completely burned out packing, and my fuel station on my toy hauler pumped 5 gal then the very next day pumped 10 drops and seized up, pulled the pump head apart to find a thick amber goo. On retrospect, that was all Casey's Conveniece store premium and I'm not to sure they stick to the 10% max. but really, Goggle it, the 2 stroke boat mechanics blame it for everything.
  6. Man, that just sucks. That crap does go bad in 30 days, and separate, and varnish shit up.
  7. X2 on the Ethanol, Don't buy gas from a grocery store or convenience store, Ask for pure gasoline. Goggle the negative effects of Ethanol, you will be amazed. I run 25 pilots with T5's and K&N. with 3 kick starts after sitting for over 4 months. I plan to try 27.5 though.
  8. All blacks can go to the frame, put together and connect to the black at the cdi, If the Black/white touches ground it will die.(or not start)
  9. Thanks for the input. I'm sure I won't have trouble lighting up some 20" dirt tires. It just acts so much different in the dunes than my "bolt-on" bike, and I run 10 paddle extremes on it
  10. All but positive a stock gear inside, I dropped to a front 14 and still had problems at the dunes. REALLY had to keep the RPM's way up to get on the pipe to climb a hill in second. Just saying, from a slow start at the bottom and shifting to second, it would lug to the top and not hit the powerband.
  11. Would like mine to come on the powerband sooner. Anything to try other than pipes? I've got OG Rockets, I would guess they are more of a big bore pipe, but don't know for sure. Just watched a Troy KS hill climb video, I'd have to run that in first gear, from that short of a start.
  12. I called him using a device known as a "telephone" or some just call it a "phone" -JK His number is in his banner
  13. Did you actually pull the petcock and clean the screen and check that the valve is clean an flowing freely?
  14. Wow, all I got to say is the dude you're dealing with at Alba is a better man than me.
  15. ^^^ X2 on all that ^^^ Except I bet it would take WAY longer than a year to bargain shop and keep under 4g's to build a complete bike from nothing but dreams. Buy the red bike, especially since it's local, or spend $500 to drive to get one to save $100
  16. Modify what? The tapered holes in the spindle and steering stem are the same.

  18. Some people seem to like the extra width for stability. I've run them both ways and see little difference. The wider offset does seem to make it steer "a little" different though.
  19. If I remember right, be sure not to cover the vent hole in the top of the slide with the bracket
  20. You need to expand your riding buddy friend base. I happen to be the one in our group with the tire machine. That means I get to change all the atv tires I want for free!
  21. Good to hear ya got it fixed ! I just must be lucky, I've welded on a bunch of them with no problem.
  22. Well, I could be wrong, I just checked and they advertise the one I'm running as normally open too. It works hooked up like yours. I stole this hand drawing from someone here, it works. I would still hook up the black wire from the stator to your grounds.
  23. ^^^what he said^^^ If your tether is normally open, when you put your clip in it the circuit will be closed, shorting the B/W and Black wire, killing the spark.
