or pull the tank off the bike, hold the vent hose up so it and the petcock are the highest point, block it up on the floor like that. but to answer your question, no it won't ruin your engine. The off valve is for transporting the bike so the carbs don't overflow. even if they do it will still just run on the floor. assuming your seats are good you will be fine. But really, grab a can and drain it. You should have a Banshee only gas can anyway.

start with new plugs. An easy way to tell which side isn't firing is which pipe isn't warming up. not so sure your "dry" might not be the problem side. There's a long list of things that go wrong from storage, from stuck needles and seats to rats nest in the pipes.

Yes, they only go the correct way when in the correct carb. should also have dots that line up in the windows to help sync.

From the nipple under the radiator cap to the bottom of the bottle. From the top off the bottle up front up the steering stem and down (just left open)

To run - the red/black wire to ground, the white/black cannot be grounded.
