  1. VERY easy if the core is in the right spot on the other end.
  2. My yfz450 Toomey has that pain in the ass flat 3-layer clip, but all the T-5's I've ever bought had a regular snap ring. I use FMF packing, or anything cheap.
  3. Any packing will do. The hard part is lining up the core in the front flange. Use a flashlight and have patience, do not force it. Do one side at a time to see how far it needs to go in. With only the cap off the other side.
  4. I find that mine has much more bottom end with fresh packing. When it won't wheelie easily, time to repack.
  5. My youngest son not lacking on LED light bars... Thanks for the 50", Burke.
  6. Sometimes it's better to get poked in the eye with a stick, than sell to some people.
  7. So, you're sayin your mechanic friend blew up your bike?
  8. When Jeff mods the shaft he also tweaks it so the pawl engages the pins a little further. That caused problems on mine when I used the Mull star since it has longer pins.
  9. you'd need a 15/40 to get back to where you were. http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/calculators/gearRatiofromTireSize.htm
  10. Compression test is a smart move. I always look for rounded off, stripped, or missing bolts. Always best to be able to ride it.
  11. Clutch cables are $12 and easy to install. If he hasn't put one on it to fix the problem the quad better be SUPER cheap. Clutching and shifting are two totally different things. You can visually inspect the cable easily. Anything else will be internal. Or at least under the clutch cover. Heck, if the cable IS bad, and the swap is that good and you want it, If I were you, I'd buy a cable and install it so you can ride it to check everything else.
  12. The cover gasket has to be bad around the tube also for the leaking o-ring the let coolant into the trans, just the o-ring and it will run thru the center of the case and to the floor. I also prefer stock stuff.
  13. More than likely you need a water pump seal, should change the bearing, impeller, and gear while you are in there. It's not the head gasket.
  14. I was reading up on those. It said flying time was up to 22 minutes, so buy extra batteries too.
  15. Terrible news, Mike. Take care of the family and we'll see you down there and ride some other time.
  16. Need to know basis, and only over a secure line. This could quickly escalate to highly covert operation. Just be cool. JUST BE COOL.
