  1. Probably. To late now, you've already pulled it out and apart. Would have been much better to tear it down methodically and inspect as you go.
  2. Spurdy's son had the same problem, but mine didn't hit.
  3. So, we are down to an air leak that you can't find? Right?
  4. Any luck? Did you post in the "wanted" section here? A lot a folks on here sell good used parts
  5. You at least get the clutch side cover off and inspect yet?
  6. make sure the slider bolts actually slide, they tend to seize easily if you ride in the wet and mud a lot.
  7. They will fit. Different colors had different part numbers.
  8. And speeshee, those holes in the slides and plates are supposed to be lined up so the hole is clear. That is so air pressure is equalized on both sides of the slide so it will move freely. If you had problems with that causing a rich condition, then your caps on top the carb weren't sealed properly.
  9. Test Rig = everything you glued, screwed, clamped, welded or bolted together to seal off the exhaust and carb holes to pressurize and monitor said pressure applied to the engine.
  10. check your trans level. Better yet drain it into a clean clear container so you can measure the amount and look for metal shavings. If your really lucky you just started to weld the clutch ball to the rod. (that would explain the hard clutch, but not the hard shifter) BUT, in reality I'm gonna say the cases will need split and everything inspected.
  11. That is a BAD metal on metal sound. Does it even have oil in the trans?
  12. Time to build the leak down tester. I used a vacuum gauge (that also had a low pressure side) that I had laying around the shop. Just figured you might too, but I don't know if up to date truck techs have any carburetor tools. HaHa
  13. The 3 guys that have replied to your question have a combined post count just shy of 29 THOUSAND. They are VERY knowledgeable. That is what you should see for yourself. But hey, Welcome to the HQ!!!
  14. I've always figured neutral is to be found on a Banshee while not running for kick start purposes only.
  15. Just teasin ya, There's folks here that can rewind one or sell you a good used OEM one
  16. Have you heard of http://www.bansheehq.com/ ?
  17. I'll ask again, with the rest of the bike UNPLUGGED to isolate from a grounded out wire or switch? And manual says to check with a DC voltmeter, the bulbs are DC Yes, I know the stator puts out AC
  18. Already have a site reserved LSPS spot #1, right on the road. It will be dusty or muddy or both. And I'm definitely to old for that crap, but got some friends and my teenage son that want to go and I'm the only one with bail money
  19. I would say if it runs that the flywheel is doing its part. You did test for voltage at the bullet connectors with it unplugged from the rest of the harness? Correct?
  20. nevermind, wouldn't ohm resistance if it had a broken wire. Still odd you have two with the exact same problem
  21. I'd look close at your stator(s) for a broken wire
